Great Value.......2007-11-06
Why spend $100 on a Universal Dock? - The Logic 3 docks works awesome for me. Its well made and comes with all the adaptors you will need to fit your iPod(s).
Very good!.......2007-09-18
The Logic3 Universal dock connects your iPod to your PC, audio system, or speakers/subwoofer set. The latter is what I have and it's nice being able to control (with the ultra skinny infra red remote) my music from the comfort of my bed. I was a bit worried that being so cheap, the sound quality would be poor, but it's great!
It comes with cradle adaptors for different sizes/generations of iPods, power cable, and has jacks for video and audio, as well as a point for the iPod usb cable, which can be used to sync, or power the iPod.
On the downside, album control (as pointed out by another reviewer) doesn't work on my 5G and iPod classic, so one star lost for that. I'm able to go forward, or back while playing tracks, pause, stop, and move through playlists. Still, a good buy!
Limited use.......2007-03-22
For those considering the purchase of this unit, keep in mind that only podcasts and videos will be displayed on your Tv. Menus and playlists will not.The very slight increase in video quality via the use of the s video cable isn't worth it. Get some 10.00 cables for your ipod and save money
Logic 3 Universal dock very good.......2007-03-08
It works perfect and the remote is great you can control your ipod from your seat. My system works perfectly with it.
Great Dock.......2007-01-12
The Logic3 Universal iPod Dock with Infrared Remote is everything it promised. I've been looking around for a docking station/alarm clock of sorts and I actually bought and tried 2 different ones but the quality was terrible and the features were not worth the $100-150.
So that's where this came into play. I can set as many alarms as I want on my iPod and run it through my stereo and it comes with a Infrared remote so it doesn't have to be pointed directly at the dock which is a huge plus. I was disappointed with the range, which is probably only 20ft. and it doesn't penetrate walls. I really like the change playlist button. The Change Album buttons don't work on my 5th Generation iPod Video, which is disappointing but not the end of the world. These range and faulty buttons gave it a four star review.
It comes with all the cables and has a jack to sync with your computer, which can come in handy.
The sound quality is also excellent. I was worried because of the lower price compared to others that it wouldn't sound good but I think it's great.

My god the BASS!!!.......2007-11-30
Well upon delivery after waiting 11 days thanks to UPS. My speakers arrived with a big hole in the box, but thankfully no damage. Anyway I took them out of the box to find a very well crafted speaker but was skeptical about the sound. Well it didnt take long and I was blown away. I actually had to turn the bass down to a negative setting because of the earth shaking bass these produced. This I have to say is a first for me when it comes to floorstanding speakers. I am actually considering just selling my sub now. A JBL 10 inch. If I hook it up with these things I will probably get evicted, considering the complaints I have already recieved from the office. Anyway I would have to say these are a must buy. I got them off of Amazon for 144.00 a piece. It was supposed to be free shipping but due to a glitch in there system I had to pay 76 bucks, I went ahead and payed it because I didnt want to wait any longer. Amazon said I would have to refuse them at the door and then make another order. ???? This was the dumbest thing I had ever heard, so instead of being a jerk about it and having to go through the hassles involved I just took them. It was worth it!!! Buy these speakers and save some money and time shopping, There is not a better deal out there. I looked for a long time and would have had to spend alot more money for something else and probably wouldnt have the sound qaulity of these. GET SOME!!! GET SOME!!!
Good Buy.......2007-11-29
I got these speakers today and hooked them up. I was a little disapointed when i heard them for the first time, because I expected top quality from JBL. But when I turned them up they sound absolutly great!! They extremely clean crisp sound and a pretty good deal of bass. So for the price(which is amazing) you absolutly cannot do better. I give them an A over all. But if money is no object Klipsch is a better speaker, but then again they start at about $900 a pair.
the god of thunder himself built these.......2007-11-29
I'm driving these things with a Onkyo 805 amp along with 4 other JBL Balcony speakers, a JBL Voice center channel and an older Infinty 12" sub for my home theater.
Pros:
I truly love the sound from a 8" woofer, fast and accurate!
Really a great sounding speaker . they play everything from action movies to hip hop and everything in-between. The drum battle at the end of the movie Drum Line is amazing at high volumes, it very life like. The speakers never complain once. Oh wait I did knock the voice coil lose on the Voice center channel on this video. I called JBL and they sent me a new driver in a few day.
Cons:
The speakers look better with out the curved silver grills
Not THX certified speakers.
Great Stuff.......2007-11-26
Nice all around sound. Not quite as much bass from it was i hoped for but the 12" sub makes up for it. I recommend it for anyone building a jbl home theater!
Sonic Treat.....Yet Going For Cheap.........2007-11-20
The recent price drop in these speakers, plus the rash of good reviews basically made me an offer I couldn't refuse. I grabbed a pair before the dealers changed their minds. You must realize what an outstanding bargain the free shipping is, considering that these are worth about 40 bucks (each) to send UPS ground to your next door neighbor.
Anyway, JBL has always had a good philosophy on how a consumer wants a loudspeaker to sound, and these certainly deliver. The combination of adequate cabinet size, selection of drivers, and carefully chosen crossover frequencies add up to a very pleasant listening experience. The large cabinet volume serves to to extend the bass quite low, while also smoothing out the resonant peaks inherent to bass reflex enclosures. (especially those with too big woofers in too small cabinets). The midrange presence is good to the point of Carrie Underwood being in the room with you. Convincing also are the male vocals, which seem very natural, without any false boominess to them. I think this is due to the low midrange crossover frequency (300 Hz). Any discussion of bass (or lack thereof) in a speaker system must also consider the room as it will have a greater effect on bass response than the other ranges. Suffice it to say that you can hear every note in the bass of these units, and for any peaks or valleys, the room is probably the culprit. The Stadiums are very smooth sounding, not tiring or irritating, and are just the right height to place all of the important stuff directly at ear level. The efficiency of these units is given as 91Db. This is adequate (and average)for home entertainment designs, and probably is one of the keys to their listen-ability. But be forewarned, they're plenty loud, but aren't designed to produce sound reinforcement volumes. Besides, if these aren't loud enough in the average room, you've probably already ruined your hearing, so what's the diff.
JBL's high end offerings are second to none in construction and sound quality but are priced well beyond the average person's means. These, and other offerings in the "Venue" series give the average Joe a shot at quality sound reproduction at a price that is more than fair.
I'm very happy with my purchase of the Stadiums. These are being used in conjunction with JBL Venue "Voice" (center) and a pair of "Arenas" for the surrounds. There is no sub yet as it's not needed for music, but since 5.1 dolby surround shunts the low bass to the LFE channel (Sub) it might improve the system for movies to add one.
If you're looking for a decent pair of fairly priced front speakers, you certainly can't go wrong with these.
