Long known for their superb radios, Tivoli Audio has included a sensitive stereo FM/AM tuner. In addition to being able to listen to and control your iPod, the iYiYi adds auxiliary and mixing inputs. Elegant Look, Bright Clean Sound.......2007-10-13
After a lot of browsing around for a bookshelf iPod system, I chose the Iyiyi and really, really like it.
I found that I could easily adjust and fix sound issues via my iPod's EQ settings. Initially my bass was a bit distorted, but a few adjustments on the iPod itself made this Tivoli unit sound bright, full, and crisp. I know some people prefer the sound on the Bose SoundDock, but I have to wonder if they might have changed their mind if they had used the Iyiyi and just made some changes on their player--for me it just took five minutes of tinkering and listening. To each his own, I guess.

For $299 (what I paid) I was expecting GREAT sound. The sound was missing depth and strength. It did not meet my needs, so I sent it back. I wish it did sound better because everything else about this unit was awsome. The ipod controls were the best I have seen. Features are great. Remote was good. Maybe I got a bad one but from the looks of the reviews others have had the same issue.
Crisp but not overpowering.......2007-01-24
I've had the iyiyi for about 2 weeks. I did a lot of shopping around before taking a shot in the dark and ordering this thing online. What makes it beat the Bose is the fact that it has a radio and that you can hook other devices into it.
The sound is sharp and it fills a large sized room. The sound is not overpowering, though. On songs with a lot of heavy base, it does distort a little at high volumes. Tivoli recommends not turning on ipod's equalizer as this could cause damage to the speakers.
I can pick up radio stations from far away. It looks really cool. My ipod looks like it belongs with it. It is compact, so it fits just about anywhere you want to put it without taking up too much space. The power cord is just that, a power cord. It tucks away neatly.
The other cool thing about it is that when you unplug it, it remembers what time it is and your preset radio stations.
I like this product and I think it is worth the price.
Alarm Clock Without Snooze Function??.......2007-01-10
Very pretty. Awesome sound. No snooze.
I received the iYiYi as a gift meant to replace my iHome alarm clock. It's definitely an upgrade in terms of sound quality, but I wasn't looking for new speakers.
Also, it took three email exchanges with Tivoli customer service before confirming there was in fact no snooze function for the alarm.
I'm back to using my iHome and am only disappointed with the lack of snooze. It's otherwise a great product. The alarm feature shouldn't be used in marketing.

Really good sound, exactly the product I needed.......2007-09-30
At the same time I purchased a replacement CD player for my Onkyo system, I replaced my very old floor speakers that have got rattly and been used as a scratching post and worse by cats. These shelf mounted speakers are great improvement in sound and convenience for added room. Could not be more pleased. I am not an expert in sound systems, just want what works for me. So far, I am more than happy with these speakers.

I bought these Bookshelf Speakers to replace some older speakers. My wife has never loved the big speaker look so I opted for these. Most people have never heard of this brand but this company is a well-kept secret. Their speakers are excellent and cost much less than the leading competitors.

The sound is bright, detailed, pretty good overall, excellent for the price. Bass is about what you would expect from a speaker of this size and price. Finish and appearance are mediocre.

I've had these for 3 days now breaking them in and they sound terrific. It's too bad they are made in China now but the quality is still there. Obviously the QC was carried over to China. Can't believe how good these sound out of the box, very detailed, and I don't see a reason to upgrade the crossovers like others have done. Can't beat this deal.

These speakers sound great - both highs and bass. Paired them with a BIC subwoofer for movies, etc. and really picks up the bass even more. Just a little bigger than I wanted but the price was great!
