These were purchased as a gift for my son-in-law's lake house, to put on the deck. He loved them so much, I bought another set for my other son-in-law. These have great sound, and the wireless feature makes them so fun for parties, or just relaxing outside.
Good While It Lasted.......2007-11-17
Bought these speakers in March 07, it is now November 07 and the power to the transmitter stopped working. One day it was on, the next off. If this product can't last more than a year, it's not worth it. It was probably used once or twice a week, never put batteries in the speakers, had power outlets outside - the speakers work fine, it's the transmitter that died.

I bought these for my spa room. I thought I would need 2, but the sound quality is so good that I am able to use the "spare" elsewhere. The first couple of times, I had to fiddle a little bit with the receiver and speaker to get reception, but once I figured it out, they were very easy to use. Worth the price, especially to get 2.

Sound stinks. If it weren't for the hastle of returning items I would return these. The only good thing about these is that it's easy to set up. You can't listen to any of your other speakers while you have these plugged in. They go into the headphone outlet of the stereo. I bought these to have additional sound outside. If you have an MP3 player and want to use it for that, it will probably work out better for you. But again the sound isn't all that great.

I almost bought the IBall (from Target online), then these caught my eye. You get 2 speakers (not 1), a remote control, and it transmits up to 150 ft. Plus, right now Sharper Image is offering FREE extra pair of speakers!!! Get a $30 off coupon from SI website, then get them! Or, sign up for SI emails and save 10%. Sound is fine, transmits from my bedroom on 2nd floor to exercise room far away in finished basement, no problem. I also bought the $9.95 charging dock. The only problem I see is that the speakers don't seem to turn off automatically like they're supposed to, but hey, I'll go press a button. Very pleased with purchase.

The 7 band equalizer makes all the difference for me.I am able to adjust each speaker individually for all 7 bands as well as volume output.My subwoofer sounds much better using line {pre-amp} out jacks,rather than speaker line out.I like hearing 7.1 channel stereo while listening to songs,and surround sound from dvd movies is awesome too.

We now get the full surround sound effect. It is complicated to set up and we are still figuring it out, but we do get better sound effects than we were getting with our older Yamaha receiver
Great Reciever.......2007-01-12
I purchased this receiver at Ultimate Electronics in Nov 06 for $1000. I absolutely love this reciever. I compared this with the denon for around the same price and both are very comparable. The only difference I saw was that the yamaha reciever was easier to switch between modes for other devices and the different sound settings that are used. I have the system hooked up with my tv using the hdmi cable and all other devices are also hooked up through the reciever. This is great because I only have to use 1 remote to control which device I am using since I don't have a universal remote. The receiver delivers 130 watts to each of my speakers and sounds great. What I like about this receiver is that their is not a million little buttons all over the place and the ones that are their actually do something.
