Excellent product.......2007-08-20
The case is attractive and sturdy. I like it. I had no trouble getting the Zen Vision M into the armband thingy (and I am not adept at such things). I wonder if the other reviewer got the wrong armband by mistake.

The case is great. Vision:M 60GB fits in it perfectly. Only complaint is the slot in the bottom interferes a bit with plugging things into the Vision.
The armband, however, is another story. It is extremely hard to get the 60GB into it. Getting it out is even harder. I'm amazed I didn't damage it. Also, the screen is very foggy (plastic). Makes it hard to see the vision screen itself.
By the looks of it, Amazon recommended it for my Vision:M 60GB. But checking the product page for the armband, it's designed for the thinner 30GB model.

still no good case for zen.......2007-02-07
to start, the leather case is not that bad, as long as youre in a clean environment. doesnt fully case the zen so dust and other debris easily get inside and onto the screen. also, the window on the leather case scratches and glares easily and i find myself taking it out to watch movies. the armband is worthless. it uses these circle velcro spots spread out along the outside to secure it. now, if u actually work out you wont be able to find a comfortable spot due to the fact that once you get it tight enough if your zen isn't on hold it will start squeezing the play or smart button. oh and if you decide to change songs dont touch anything but the button you want to use because any extra pressure will squeeze one or more buttons rendering your zen frozen until you free all the buttons.

Not all homes have the space for elaborate speaker setups, which is where this two-way 5.25-inch JBL speaker comes into play. The speaker, which features a maximum recommended power level of 60 watts, installs conveniently in the wall at ear level, where the 5.25-inch titanium-laminate cone woofer and 1-inch titanium-laminate dome tweeter combine to produce rich, elegant bass and crisp high tones. To further the audio flexibility, JBL outfitted the tweeter on a unique swivel mount. Listeners can adjust the tweeter to the preferred angle depending on where they're sitting and which angle produces the best overall sound. The unit makes an ideal companion with a matching stereo speaker in a space-challenged living room (the mounting cutout measures 6.12 by 8.96 inches), as a secondary speaker in an adjacent room, or as part of a comprehensive home theater system for watching movies or listening to five-channel audio sources.
The speaker is relatively easy to install using a Philips screwdriver, utility knife, tape measure, and carpenter's level. However, it's difficult to move or reposition it once the cutout is made, so users are advised to take their time when determining the ideal listening location. JBL recommends installing the speaker at approximately the same height as the listener's ears for best results. The speaker also includes integrated dog-ear brackets for retrofit applications and a template/paint shield that can be used to make the initial cutout or protect the speakers when applying a new paint color to the frame (the speakers come in white). Listeners who are building a new home or addition can make installation easier by purchasing the RIF5 rough-in frame kit.
The speaker terminals accommodate up to 16-gauge speaker cable (not included), which JBL recommends for distances below 20 feet. The company advises using 12-gauge wires for speakers located between 20 and 30 feet from the receiver, and 10-gauge cable for distances above 30 feet.
It's the audio that matters most, however, and the SP5 delivers powerful, clear sound with a frequency response of 45 Hz to 20 kHz. Whether your priority is to spread music throughout the house or make your home theater speakers disappear from sight, JBL's SP5 speaker gets the job done.

Great Value, Great Sound.......2007-01-28
The sound I get from these in my new sunroom is full and beautiful. The nicest part of this product is the price -- each of the speaker boxes contains TWO speakers, even though the title says "Single". So, to get four speakers, you only need to buy two of this amazon item! I couldn't believe the deal at first, so I downloaded the product PDF and it confirmed it.
As far as installation, they were pretty simple. I had the electrician install them in my new room, but he forgot to attach one to the speaker wires, so I had to remove the speaker, attach the cable and replace the speaker -- quite easy since I had seen the attachment mechanism before they were installed.

I bought 5 of these, thinking that they came "SINGLE (WHITE)" as advertised, however they came with 2 in a box. . . I didn't return any, just put more speakers in my house. VERY easy to install in existing walls. Just cut an opening in the drywall, with the template provided in the box, fish the wire, and clip the speakers in. Very easy, very nice looking.
for the price: 5 stars.......2006-01-24
Simply put, for in wall speakers in this price range look no further. I powered them with my Harman Kardon 3480 stereo receiver and was floored how great they sounded for only spending $80 for the pair (not sure why they are selling for so much lower than the list price). I had been looking at a pair of BOSE speakers for around $200 (pair) and have to say the JBL sound better and will mount flush with my wall!
Highly recommend at this price.

I DID NOT BUY THESE FROM AMAZON BUT I GOT THEM FOR THE SAME PRICE. I USE THEM FOR MY REAR SPAEKERS IN A 5.1 SYSTEM.
THEY ARE BEING PUSHED BY A LOW END SONY HEAD UNIT AND THEY SOUND GREAT. I HAD A SET OF BOSE BOOKSELFS AS REARS PRIOR TO THE JBLS. THESE BLOW THEM AWAY. THE INSTALL IN THE WALL WAS A JOKE THEY USE A GREAT CLIP SYSTEM THAT IS DUMMY PROOF, JUST USE THE TEMPLETE SUPPLIED AND SNAKE YOUR WIRE IN THE WALL AND AWAY YOU GO. LOOK GREAT IN THE WALL NICE AND FLUSH AND OUT OF THE WAY.
I WILL BE BUYING MORE FOR THE DINING ROOM AND KITCHEN FOR REGULAR AUDIO.
