OK. I spent almost 90 minutes researching armbands last week and came across this one. First of all, I was NOT going to spend $ 30.00+ on an armband for my new Nano, mostly because I didn't see the advantage of spending the extra money (most people seemed indifferent to the official Ipod armband, for example.) I bought this product because it had similar specifications to the more expensive models and was like $5.00! Mine arrived today and I'm very happy with it. It fits well on my arm and there's no way that Ipod is coming loose from it's casing. That's what I care most about.
The reason I gave it 4 stars is because
1. even though the unit fits the armband, it's a bit snug and it may be a bit difficult to manipulate the wheel, as the round opening sits just a tad bit high. But if you have a playlist and are working out, this shouldn't be a problem, right?
2. The small velcro strap that keeps the Ipod immobilized at the opening should be perfectly matched to the back of the strap. Otherwise the velcro is a bit itchy. If you just make sure no velcro is exposed to your skin, you'll find that this armband is very comfortable!
Would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a quality, affordable option for Nano ibands!

Great material, Great fit, Great price!! Overall this armband is one of the best nano armbands out there. I'll never pay $30 + at the apple store or elsewhere again. Do yourself a favor and buy this for your nano.

Too small to 16 inch arm. not a great quality and looks much better on the picture than in real life. Not really made especially for nano - it's bigger than supposed to be.
Better than the Belkin armband.......2007-03-23
This armband is very comfortable and provides great protection for your iPod Nano (screen too!) while working out. It is more comfortable material than the more popular Belkin armband. The only downfall is that it is not all too wide, so for the large bicepped-you may need to get creative.
Beware: Does Not Fit Creative Zen Micro.......2006-12-14
Looks like a well made product however my MP3 player (a Creative Zen Micro) could not fit in the opening and the armband had to be returned.

The speaker--which is packaged singly--is equipped with dual 8-inch injection-molded polypropylene cone woofers with rubber surrounds that handle the lows and mids, along with a 1-inch Teteron dome tweeter that reproduces amazingly crisp, detailed highs. The AS-F2.2 excels because of its elite cabinet design and quality driver construction. The speaker is made of medium-density fiberboard (MDF), a dense, consistent wood material that ensures both great sound and minimum resonance. The MDF front baffle is also specially shaped to improve the dispersion and highlight the speaker aesthetics. The woofers, meanwhile, are built for high performance, high efficiency, durability, and--of course--topnotch sound. The durable synthetic Teteron material is also specially contoured to reduce distortion and fit into the custom-designed bezel, which amplifies and optimizes the tweeter's dispersion. Teteron is even impervious to moisture, so it won't change over time, nor does it have any inherent ringing problems--unlike the tweeters built into many conventional home theater speakers. And the best part is that Athena uses the Teteron tweeter in all its Audition series models, making it easy to create a seamless sounding home theater system.
Additional audio specifications range from a crossover point of 2.0 kHz to a sensitivity rating of 93 dB to power handling of 250 watts. And as with all quality speakers, the AS-F2.2 boasts sturdy gold-plated five-way binding post terminals that work with audiophile-grade cable up to 12 gauge in thickness. Want to use standard pins or banana jacks instead of bare wire? No problem. All this in an attractive black ash cabinet that looks great next to modern flat-panel displays and traditional tube TVs.
Though the AS-F2.2 works with almost any home theater system, it sounds particularly good when teamed with other speakers from Athena's Audition series. All Audition speakers are timbre matched for the best possible performance and are magnetically shielded to protect the onscreen image. In other words, you can place the AS-F2.2 near the TV without distorting the picture. In addition, listeners can locate the speaker close to any wall thanks to the orientation of the bass vent, which is purposely placed on the front of the cabinet. Finally, the speaker--which measures 9.5 by 41.5 by 15.5 inches (W x H x D)--is protected by a five-year warranty on parts and labor.

Great sound, tweeter problems.......2007-11-07
When the tweeter isn't blown, they are nice. However, I've blown two of them (in the same speaker). Now that Klipsch owns them, it looks like it might be harder to order a new one. We'll see.
Yes, I listen to loud music. Driven by a Yamaha HTR 5590. AS f2's in front (right tweeter blown), AS F1's rear surround, JBL studio series for front and rear center, and a Klipsch 15" sub.

I set my friend up with these speakers. He sings opera so he likes good sound. These speakers are impressive. Now that they are selling for $200 each it is a great buy. Match them with a good receiver like th Onkyo TX8522 and you have a great system that will bring years of musical enjoyment.
Great sound at a great price.......2007-09-10
I bought these without ever hearing them. I had read a few reviews and they were recomended by a couple of knowledgeable friends so I took a chance. I'm glad I did, these speakers sound as good as speakers costing $1500 or more. They sounded a little edgy right out of the box and the bass response was a little light but as they break in (50 - 100 hours)the sound becomes more refined. Clean, crisp highs, detailed mid range and tight, fast bass. Imaging just keeps getting better. They're not completely broken in yet but they're still worth twice what I paid for them. I think I may need a new preamp to really explore their capabilities.
Great Speakers at a Great Price!.......2007-08-25
I've owned these speakers (as part of an Athena 5.1 speaker package) for over 3 years. I've been extremely pleased with the performance I've received. These speakers are attractive, and do a great job at both audio and home theater playback. For their price these speakers can't be touched. Of course, there are also plenty of professional reviews of these speakers online, all very glowing.
Good Speaker, Bad Vendor.......2007-08-15
The Athena AS-F2.2 is a great speaker. It has a full range, evenly balanced bass, mid range, and treble. It plays loud cleanly and in my living room matched with the center speaker. I have a Yamaha NS series set of speakers for the surrounds - right, center, and left - and three subwoofers that are powered from different amplifiers.
But, the Athena AS-F2.2 speakers arrived with damage to the cabinets in the form of scratches and crushed corners - damages that had no effect on their playing but destroyed any hopes I might have had for selling them to someone else if I chose to upgrade or change them at a later date. And, I couldn't get the seller to respond to either phone calls or emails, even though their web site was running at they were still selling through Amazon. I saved a little over the price for these from AudioAdvisor, broke even by the time shipping was included, and received two cosmetically-damaged speakers.
