Best on the market (for now).......2007-05-16
I can't lie, it has its problems, but I can say from experience that this is the best case currently on the market for a 5th generation 60/80 GB iPod. Before this, I tried a hard plastic case that was not even close to the right size, and a faux-leather one that was too small but was tolerable for the 8 months I used it (neither were from this company). I bought this one after seeing a friend with a black one [iSkin Eclipse 60GB/80GB Video iPod Protector - Black (EVO3EC1-B)] of his own. Once I saw that it fit his 80 GB iPod perfectly, I was almost sold on that fact alone. Once I noticed how nice it looked and that it had screen protection, I knew it was a winner. I have had a few problems with this one, but any issues are very tolerable, at least until another improved case comes along. Unlike the black version, the covering of the scroll wheel is very thin and sometimes bunches up when trying to scroll fast. Also, there is a small imperfection in the screen cover (this is probably an isolated problem) and the cover itself got slightly torn while putting it on, but I rarely notice both of these. In case you can't tell by my rating, I am quite satisfied overall, especially in comparison to my disappointments with similar products.

This is the best iPod skin. It has all of the protection you will ever need for you iPod. There is a screen shield, and shield that protects the clickwheel. They even have a cover for every port except for the headphone jack. Which of course you won't ever need covered up.
