Product Description
for aluminum-cased iPod shuffles * neoprene jacket with polyurethane finish * stretch armband * transparent vinyl control wheel protector * allows access to controls and headphone jack *
Product Description
The armband case uses a neoprene coating to shield the shuffle's body from bumps, scratches, and the elements while you exercise. The Action Jacket case has a sturdy rear belt clip that actually rotates 180 degrees in six ratcheting steps so that users can position the shuffle's headphone port wherever they find most comfortable.
Customer Reviews:
Great product - works perfectly!.......2005-09-05
I use my iPod Shuffle while I run, and the DLO Action Jacket is the perfect way to do this. I use the belt clip on the waistband of my shorts - it keeps the Shuffle handy, and it is so light I don't even know it's there. The controls are a little more difficult to manipulate through the case, but with a little practice it isn't too bad. I worry about rain or persperation damaging my iPod, so before I put it in the Action Jacket, I put the iPod in a plastic grocery bag, and push the iPod with the bag around it into the Action Jacket. Then, I simply cut off the excess bag material and close up the Action Jacket normally. Overall, I can't imagine a better way to carry a MP3 player while you run.
great for running and working out.......2005-05-12
I have had my Action Jacket for about a week now and I love it. First off, I use my shuffle for workouts, that's it. I don't know how it would be if I were constantly changing the songs on my shuffle or always taking it out to show people, but I stick it in there and only remove it when I check the battery every few days (I haven't had to charge it yet, but I'm sure it's got to start running low one of these days). The shuffle is covered by a neoprene jacket with a clear plastic cover over the dial. The Jacket has a beltclip on the rear, that clamps (securely) onto a loop on the armband. The unit is fairly secure from the elements. I've taken mine in misty/drizzly rain and the unit is fine. I imagine that I would probably not want to run in weather that the Jacket could not handle. Using the controls on the shuffle in the Jacket while running has not been a problem.
One complaint I read about the Jacket is that you don't have access to the rear switch on the shuffle. So? Just leave it in the random position and go. When you're finished with your workout, just unplug the headphone jack and the shuffle is turned off (it's a useful auto-off function while bouncing around a gym bag) so you don't have to worry about wasting your battery. Just plut back in and you're ready for your next workout.
Second complaint I read was that it doesn't have a separate strap to hold excess headphone cord. I just wrap the excess cord around the bottom part of the unit. There is a velcro strap at the bottom that holds the shuffle in the jacket. Place the final "wrap" of the cord under this flap, velcro it shut and your cord is not going anywhere (I leave mine constantly wrapped around even when the unit is in my gym bag and it doesn't come undone, even though neither end is plugged in).
I've only been on runs of about an hour so far, but I have seen no rub marks on my arm or my torso yet (but I do wear a short sleeve shirt, so my torso is covered). I also tilt the shuffle slightly (the shuffle can rotate to 7 positions through 180 degrees with respect to the beltclip and armband).
On that note, the armband will fit runner's arms (i.e. stick arms, like mine) without a problem. And since the shuffle is so darn light, the armband does not have to be tight at all but the unit will remain stable during an entire run or weightroom session. The armband is a nicely soft and flexible material. I haven't even noticed an issue when I workout my arms (but I've already stated that my arms aren't the bulkiest).
I suppose I should give a complaint so you don't think I'm getting paid or something. Well, the neoprene of my Jacket is a little misshapen and I have to pull it to one side to get the headphone jack plugged in. I honestly don't care that my headphone hole is off-center.
Overall I would highly recommend this unit for anyone wanting to take their shuffle on runs and other types of workouts. With the securely on your arm, just thread the headphone cable through your shirt and you don't have to worry about the cable bouncing bothering your running rhythm (if you do long runs you probably know what I'm talking about).
And since I'm the first one reviewing this... Yes, I'm taking up all the space I want :p

The satellites receive 14 watts per channel from an amplifier housed within the subwoofer, and each satellite uses a three-inch woofer and .75-inch tweeter in Klipsch's exclusive MicroTractrix horn. They're magnetically shielded to allow distortion-free placement near a computer monitor or television, and their ported enclosures extend their low-frequency reach down to the subwoofer's upper 140 Hz crossover region. Each satellite comes with its own self-supporting ball-joint pedestal that grants a 45-degree range of motion for optimal sound directing.
An included preamplifier/control module includes separate main and subwoofer volume controls, letting you set a subwoofer level whose volume relative to that of the satellites is most pleasing to you. The controller offers two stereo inputs: one dual RCA and one stereo (left/right) .125-inch minijack plug. Further, a headphone output grants private listening. The system boasts a wide frequency response--an impressive 35 to 20,000 Hz--but keep in mind that the range for this response is +/- 5 dB rather than the traditional +/- 3 dB, so the effective range may be a little more limited than the numbers suggest.
Hook up is simple. The speakers connect to the subwoofer via included RCA-type connection cables, and the controller connects to the subwoofer via an included DIN connection cable. The rear panel of the GMX A-2.1's subwoofer features a Klipsch SWS Link socket, fostering the easy connection of one or more ProMedia SWS supplementary powered subwoofers to further extend and fortify low-frequency reproduction. The SWS Link fully integrates your additional subwoofer(s) with the rest of the system, allowing master volume and bass-level adjustment all from the GMX A-2.1 controller.
A full host of ports for all your audio parts.

Customer Reviews:
excellent purchase.......2007-12-07
This is a very nice system. I utilize it with the Ipod. Very clear, crisp and excellent bass.
Good Value.......2007-10-26
I recently purchased these speakers, and first off I had no issues with any "buzzing" like some other reviewers had.
The speakers are loud enough, however I wouldn't say that the sub would rock your world. Another reviewer mentioned that the sub volume is only necessary to the 1/3 level. That's because after 1/3 of the way up it simply doesn't get any louder. But I will say it is proportional to how loud the actual speakers go.
They definitely required some EQ tweaking, but the great thing that I've noticed about Klipsch is that there is no automatic EQ like you'll find on a lot of Bose/Boston Acoustic speakers. They respond well to EQ changes making them easy to dial in to your taste.
The built in crossover is ideal for most music, however there are a few instances where I wish I could adjust it slightly to give the sub the bass that the highs are trying to deliver (causing slight distortion).
Overall, for the money I can't complain. I think it is a good value, especially if you live in a condo where you're not going to be cranking them 24/7.
If you don't mind the subwoofer cutting out...go for it :(.......2007-10-01
I owned the older version of these speakers and loved them. I purchased these thinking that they were merely asthetically updated. To my suprise, as soon as I hooked them up and plugged in my ipod there was no bass. The subwoofer was not responding whatsoever. There was a short circuit in the control box. Upon tapping on the housing the bass would come on...this did not scream quality. In fact, each time I would turn the speakers on, I would have to fiddle with the control module. Thankfully amazon gave me a refund, I guess I'll buy another set of the old ones.
Best PC speakers I've owned.......2007-09-26
I bought these to replace a pair of Yamaha speakers with a Kenwood amp. They sound great. Bass hits hard, vibrates the walls. Nice clear mids and highs from the satellites. I would definitely buy these again.
The genius of Klipsch.......2007-05-08
Paul Klipsch was a genius, and his original Klipschorns are still in production. The GMX system is a worthy product in the incredible line of Klipsch speakers, which have always been the class of the world. I bought these directly from Klipsch. I was surprised at the weight of the package, most of it coming from the powered subwoofer.
All of the other reviews praise the sound quality, and they are correct. These are incredible speakers! The aesthetics were one of the reasons I selected these over the more traditional alternative. They have a very high-tech look that is matched by their performance.
