Speco recommends installing the speaker within the wall at ear level, where the 8-inch black fiberglass cone woofer (with rubber surround) and 1-inch titanium dome tweeter combine to produce elegant, crisp audio with a frequency response of 40 Hz to 20 kHz. Installation is relatively straightforward thanks to the EZ mounting tabs along the perimeter: merely cut a 8.88-by-12.88-inch hole in the wall while preserving enough room for the speaker's 3.75-inch mounting depth, and then fold the tabs over the cutout. The speaker's white faceplate is even designed to blend easily with light-colored walls, or listeners can paint it to match darker surfaces.
To further the audio flexibility, Speco fixed the tweeter on a swivel mount, which allows users to adjust the high-frequency listening angle. Each time you rearrange the furniture to create a new listening environment, simply rotate the tweeter toward the new area. The high frequencies will thus continue to sound full and crisp rather than muffled or distant.
The speaker is ideal for use as one of a pair of main speakers in a space-challenged living room, as a remote speaker in an adjacent room (when connected to the main receiver), or even as a home theater surround speaker for watching movies or listening to five-channel audio sources. The in-wall location not only preserves space, but it also adds a modern touch to your room décor.
Other specifications include 80 watts continuous RMS power (120 watts max), 8 ohms of impedance, and a crossover frequency of 2.8 kHz. The speaker measures 10 by 14 inches in diameter.

I bought a circular HDMI cable from a store to play PS3, but it failed to display 1080p mode on my Sharp Aquos HDTV. I bought this cable because I have heard very good comments from my friends, who are electrical engineering major, about this new cable. Not only does PS3 look nicer and play smoother, but also my other DVD players display sharper image. I highly recommend this cables.

Better than HP's discs.......2007-11-29
I'd been having trouble with the LightScribe process. I triple checked that I had all the latest drivers. I futzed with the software. Finally, I decided to try a different batch of discs. Voila! I've gone from having about a 60% failure rate with the HP discs I was using to about a 20% failure rate. Still not perfect, but a significant improvement. In fairness, my HP discs were at least a year old. If there were manufacturing improvements since then, they may apply across the board. All I know is I'm once again a happy LightScribe user.
A great working CD.......2007-11-21
I've used Verbatim's DVD/RW before so they were a brand I trust. The lightscribe cd's are no different. I've made several burned CD's with this package and no glitches or errors thus far. I use an HP External DVD/CD lightscribe burner and usually just run it at max speed. Verbatim hasn't let me down once, and the lightscribe labeling never fails to impress. A great value!

At first, I was unsuccessful in my attempts to burn CDs. I burned one beautifully and and was also able to get a label on the flip side. I wasted 5 disks when I couldn't get more to burn. I thought maybe it was Vista causing the problem so I tried on a second computer. It did recognize that the disk was in the drive but it just gave me error messages and wouldn't burn. Then I tried burning it using Nero instead of the pre-installed Microsoft software. I was able to burn one after another. They were great once I used the right program.

I bought two of the 30 packs of Verbatim Lightscribe CDRs from Best Buy. I would be very optimistic in saying that 1 out of 3 actually worked. Oh, the music burns on to them no problem, but when I flip them over to do the lightscribe label, it tells me the media is not recognized as lightscribe. This happens no matter what program I use! And what sucks even worse is that with the coating on the cd, it's almost impossible to write on, so you end up with an un-labeled cd anyways.
Oh well, back to the HP discs :)
