If you're in the market for a silicon skin, these can be had for a reasonable price (I paid $4.99 for a set of 3 in amazon's marketplace)...
BUT, be aware that you can not use this with the cord-fitted cap which comes with the ipod. I hadn't realized this when I purchased these, and it makes the product substantially less useful (for me).
Now, if you're going to carry it in a pocket, or throw it in a purse or briefcase, and don't care about the cord- well then, these are as good as any (and more reaonable than most at less than $2 each!)

Good protection but you can't see the lights.......2005-03-24
This skin does what it's supposed to - protects your iPod shuffle from bangs and scratches BUT fails when it comes to seeing the lights on the shuffle. I bought a clear protector and the black one and have given up with the black one. You can't check the battery life (can't see the back light), you have to take the skin off when you plug it into the USB port (so that you can then see the top light to know when you can & can't unplug it) and you can't see the mode selector to know setting you're on
Stick to the clear or transparent skin's!

These speakers have excellent sound and aren't expensive. The do not produce bass, so you'll need some kind of sub woofer. The can't not be used as stand alone bookshelf speakers.
