Product Description
Microflat speaker wire from Acoustic Research solves the common problem of unsightly speaker wire while delivering improved performance. Two solid 99.997% pure copper conductors are stretched wide to keep wire thickness at 0.5 mm thick (less than 0.02"), making Microflat wire disappear under paint, wall paper, behind a baseboard, or under carpet. Applied to the backside of the wire is a high-strength adhesive for secure attachment to any surface. A side benefit to this wire design is low skin effect. Skin effect creates resistance to high frequencies due to the fact that AC current tends to distribute itself towards the outer surface of a conductor. Two terminal blocks are included with each package for easy connection to standard speaker wire. Overall width is 3/4".
