Had nothing but trouble with these CDs I think the extra weight is causing problems with most CD players stand alone and in computers.
Threw away about 30 of these and rerecorded to normal CDs

I bought three packs of these disks. They are very cute and have vinal on the front. They play beautifully - that is, if you can burn them! I had to throw out over half of them because they would not burn properly - you could see the defects on the disks. Amazon sent me replacements but I had to throw half of those away as well. Don't waste your money.
Great CD's a little Gimmicky.......2005-08-21
I guess they're better than the ugly cylinder CD's you can buy in bulk, but the idea of a vinyl cd is kind of weird, but at the same time why I bought them. Don't know if it was specific to the CD's, or my computer at work, but I couldn't get the CD to work on my work computer after writing to it. Also, I could only get 12x write speed on these suckers, my writer is a 52x, so that implies they may be a little slow.
I'd recommend these for anyone else who can't stand the ugly standard CDRs.

I went out-of-town without a powercord, had a difficult time finding a replacement power cord of this type. SOME electrical devices in the Wal*Mart store had similar types, but spending over a hundered dollars for a unit I didn't need for just the cord was illogical. A replacement cord in a place like CompUSA was way expensive, too.

For those of you who are looking at this thinking it is a CB radio, it is NOT. Though this may look like a CB radio, it is actually a radio designed to transmit in the amateur radio frequency spectrum. Transmitting on this radio without the proper license issued by the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) will subject you to charges by the FCC, which can include siezure of all radio equipment, as well as monetary fines in the thousands of dollars.
There are very few licensed operators who use this type of equipment. It is mainly used by "freebanders" and truckers looking to get away from the confines of regular CB. Besides those drivers who illegally operate these radios, many trucking companies are now getting fined by the FCC for allowing this equipment to be used in their trucks, and are therefore restricting these radios from being installed by the drivers. As the FCC continues it's efforts to crack down on the illegal use of these radios, you have to stop and ask yourself if it's worth the risk to operate one of these radios without the proper licensing.
If you are truly interested in becoming a properly licensed amateur radio operator who can legally trasmit on one of these radios then there are plenty of online and offline resources to help you out. However, as far as amateur radio equipment is concerned, this type and brand of radio is pretty much scraping the bottom of the barrel, as it lacks most of the useful features found on decent amateur radio equipment.
