I got the product from CompUSA storefront. The shipment was prompt and I am happy with the overall quality of the product. The only problem that I had was with the broken case.
Smartest way to backup Windows®.......2001-09-14
While this medium is becoming increasingly irrelevant, it's still vital for Windows users needing to create a backup of vital program files in the event of a system crash that leaves your CD drive useless. The average home user of Windows (who backs up program data on Zip disks, CDs or tape) will not need more than 10 disks to back up her system. Colored disks are an especially smart way to back up your critical program files because you can create a more ordered backup environment. And the neon colors Imation puts out just look cool. In a crisis, your life will be made a little easier by the few extra pennies you spend on these colored disks.
My criticism of these disks is limited. First, I would have preferred having one more disk of each color, or the ability to buy a smaller pack consisting of a single color. That would have made color coding a little easier. Second, for especially heavy users of this media, this 10-pack is obviously not cost effective.
But these are truly minor qualifications. For most home or single computer users of Windows, this is the smartest way to backup core Windows (and some third party utility) elements for a rainy day.
Is a disk just a disk?.......2001-09-06
I'll shamelessly admit I bought these only because Amazon's system "recommended" them to me when I ordered a Sony digital camera (and I happened to need some disks anyway). They work just fine--is that high enough praise for a computer disk? Oh, and the colors are pretty.

These floppies are very high quality and provide excellent storage. I use the floppies today exclusively for picture storage with the Sony Mavica FD-88 camera. Many floppy brands are troubled by causing very slow storage from the camera onto the floppy. The Imation does not have this problem. I get 2 sec storage time using these disks. I cannot recommend them highly enough for use with the Mavica line. And the bright colors, in addition to being fun, make the disks easy to spot among the huge pile of old disks in my desk.

Its a great camera. I like using the floppies, I have alot of them because I have switched to using Zips and CDs. I don't need to use more hardware plugged into my computer or more clutter on my desk. The Mavica, produces good pictures so far and is really user friendly. The zoom works wonderfully. For the price, the floppy convienience, great pictures (even in low light), and ease of operation, this is a bargain.

Excellent USB 1.1 extender.......2007-07-07
I purchased this product to be able to extend several devices out to my telescopes. This way I can stay warm in my office while telescope, camera, serial control and a bunch of other things can stay outside.
The cable has performed very well. Remember however that this is a USB 1.1 device, so don't expect USB 2.0 bandwidth.
The package includes 1 receiver, 1 transmitter and 150ft of UTP cable (I'm mentioning it because its not clear in the description and I ordered it blind).
I can run Logitech Webcam Fusion full resolution, easy. I then add a Belkin 4-port unpowered HUB to the remote end. I can run the Webcam, SBIG 2000XM CCD imager and Radioshack USBtoSerial adapter with no problems. All devices run fine all at once. It will no run with a second webcam attached due to bandwidth limitations. When I tried it that way, either 1 or both webcams would lock up. But if I kept it at 1 webcam, no problems.
You can load up as many low bandwidth devices as you want, printers, scanners, serial devices and 1 webcam. It won't handle 2 webcams. All devices were powered properly through the USB extender with full 150ft cable when I ran my setup in unpowered mode, although my belkin USB hub provides optional power adapter, I did not need to use it.
I'm very happy with the product and recommend it to others. The only improvement is when USB 2.0 extenders start arriving at a down to earth price. I would love to be able to use that second webcam, need it for a different telescope attached to the main scope.

Mounting kit.......2007-07-12
I ended up having to return this product. It was suggested as an add on purchase for the pair of outdoor speakers that I bought, however when the speaker mounting kit came it only contained one mount. There are several mounting kits avaiable that contain two mounts, and cost about the same as the one mount advertised here. It did not seem cost effective to buy two of these kits to mount my speakers.

Worked good. But I made a mistake when ordering.... I assumed a "kit" came with 2 braces for a set of speakers. Nope. Just one. Had to put in an order for another one. So they're not as good of a deal as I thought, but they work pretty well.
