Easy to assemble, very sturdy, the rotation design really saves space, and you can load almost 150 DVDs into this. Looks a lot more expensive than it is, as well. Excellent for a dorm room or den.
DVD-CD storage.......2007-11-17
I'm very surprised at how sturdy this little tower is. It takes approximately 45 minutes to assemble. The instructions are clear and all of the hardware is sorted and labeled in separate baggies ( my husband greatly appreciated this!).
Good DVD Storage for the price.......2007-02-11
I wasn't expecting much since the product was made out of laminated pressboard, but once assembled, the dvd storage spinner looked rather nice. I'm not mechanically inclined, so assembly of the dvd storage unit took longer than expected and I did leave out 6 of the wooden dowels even though the assembly directions were diagramed, but all in all, I think the storage unit will not fall apart (hopefully). The price was excellent (about $32).

Positives: Parts all labeled clearly; the little pieces were all in individual bags and labeled with the letter matching the instructions (instructions say use a "K" screw, then open the "K" baggie); predrilled holes were all spot on and everything fit correctly upon completion; quick and easy to construct; spins solidly and smoothly; instructions were clear and simple; I think it looks good.
Negatives: Due to inadequate protection, all four of the vertical side panels had a scratch of some nature on them; one of the shelves had a chip in the corner, even though those boards were wrapped; had to wipe down all the boards to clean off this grayish residue off them here and there.
Overview: It's not furniture grade, it's just laminated pressboard (1/2 in. for the sides, top and bottom plates; 3/8 in. for the middle shelves and dividers). But in context of the price (something like $35 delivered), it's an outstanding value. The marks, other than the chip in the shelf, are not visible from the couch, and it looks good otherwise. The color is a brown, but a dark brown. Sits on my black shelving fine.
FYI: each of the eight shelf spaces are 10 3/4 inch wide by 8 1/4 inch tall.
Bottomline: If I had to redo my purchase, I'd buy this product again.

Good Choice!!!.......2007-06-28
I put in many hours of research in order to find the right camcorder for me. There are many excellent options out there so I will discuss why this item made it to the top of my list of choices.
I was first considering the top rated brands, (Sony, JVC, Panasonic, etc...). After looking at the Panasonic camcorders I decided that they were kind of bulky and there prices were not the best. I then was considering Sony very seriously. The 6 mega pixel handycam was hard to resist. However, this camcorder had a touch screen LCD. These screens are not all that big so I figured it would make for tough navigation of the menu items. Also after time I heard that scratches developed and they are always dirty. Another thing is that they require the dock station in order to plug into any thing. There are no plugs on the camcorder itself. Therefore I passed this camcorder up despite the high mega pixel rating. I then turned to JVC. It was with this brand that I found all the features I was looking for.
First off it was incredibly easy to use. I sat done while it was charging and reviewed the instructions. (This is not necessary if you want to use the camcorder right away for the menu functions are very intuitive and would allow for basic use instantly.)When it was done charging (about one hour later) I turned it on, programmed the date, time and language and I was ready to start shooting. I did a little recording around the house and outside. The color was great and it had very fast focusing abilities. The 10X optical zoom is nice and the digital zoom is decent up to 40X. Anything beyond that and you need a tripod to keep it stable. Even then the 300X digital zoom would be rarely used because it gets very grainy. When I was through recording I went through the play back which was easy to use on the camera. I then played it back on the TV and was pleased to see that the picture and sound quality was great.
When I was pleased with the video abilities I went through the still picture functions. I was also pleased with the camcorders abilities to take print quality photos. From what I could see it was capable of any functions that your standard digital camera would have.
Other functions of the camcorder such as, night time shooting, easy organizing of footage and pictures, easy DVD burning and anything else that was listed in the advertisement work as well as I expected. However the night shot function requires the tripod to get good focus and if you move to fast the image lags behind.
The last thing about this item is the accessory kit that came with it. I would recommend this kit because it will complement the already great functions of this camcorder and make it a much more versatile and better quality unit to own.
Because there are so many wonderful and easy to use functions it is hard to list them all, but this review touched on the most important to me.
