do not buy.......2007-12-27
do not buy this. it is poorly made. a cheap piece of junk. was broken right out of the box.
a great toy.......2007-12-01
it's a great toy....But just a toy. The quality of the product wasn't match my expetation...Well still very playful
Love this camera!.......2007-11-15
Positive:
1. High production quality. Well made. Looks good. Feels good.
2. Very interesting camera. Everyone who sees the camera has questions and everyone who sees the pictures has questions.
3. Several unique or difficult to find features. Fish eye lens - usually a very expensive option on other cameras. "Rear curtain" sync flash - usually only found on very expensive cameras. "B" setting - not common on view finder cameras. Double exposure - extremely rare on manual advance cameras.
Negative:
Because of the location of the built-in flash and the size of the lens, extremely close up flash pictures will contain an annoying shadow caused by the lens housing. You can avoid this by using a flash mounted in the hot shoe or a lens mounted ring flash. This is a satisfactory solution because I never use the hot shoe mounted viewer and I prefer to use my ColorSplash flash with this camera anyway.
Interesting:
The top and bottom of the circular image are cut off. Maybe it would be nicer if the entire image fit within the rectangular frame of the film, but then the picture would be smaller, so this is probably OK. I usually crop the picture to be square anyway, or possibly crop a rectangular image out of the middle of the circular image, so this isn't really a problem.
Overall:
I love this camera. The camera itself is interesting and the pictures it takes are interesting. It has added lots of variety to my picture taking.
Sweet camera, great find!.......2007-09-27
If you're into artistic photography this is a must-have. It's cheaper than buying a fisheye lens for my cannon rebel and totally worth it. Great fun, high quality for what it is. If you like working with the cameras like the hulga check this out!!

Customer Reviews:
Superb, absolutely Superb!.......2005-12-05
I originally started out looking for a replacement for my Nikon 10x50 binoculars. I was looking closely at the Canon IS 10x30 (Image stabilized) and while I saw that Nikon had a VR (Vibration Reduction..Nikon's name for Image Stabilization)series of binoculars, I thought the price was a bit high. Boy..was I wrong. I got extremely luck and came across a closeout at a local sporting goods store. They were the store demos (in perfect condition with full factory warranty) for $400 off their normal selling price! Wow...$449.99, I couldn't resist even though they were higher in price than the Canons. Now that I've used them, I'd gladly pay the $849 most places are selling them for! That's how good they are.
Point 1. They are waterproof. Not water resistant, water proof (with limits obviously)! You can even use them underwater up to 1 meter(looking down from the surface).
Point 2. You don't have to hold down a button to get the stabilization, instead, you turn it off by pushing a button when you're panning.
Point 3. They are nitrogen filled, NO foging inside the lens on cold nights!
Point 4. They have superb sharpness. Looking at stars at night...visually..they are pinpoints with NO comma and NO color fringing, no aberation.
Point 5. They are sharp, over the entire viewable area.
Point 6. They are the ONLY pair of binoculars I've ever found that I can use with my glasses ON! No problem!
Point 7. They are bright. I didn't measure the brightness, but visually they seem as bright as my old 10x50's and they were good binoculars. I'm sure they aren't if you took a measurement..but they sure seem like it.
Point 8. The stabilization is superb! I won't say "rock solid" because if you do move a lot, the image moves too. But if you try to hold the image steady on a subject (star, bird, animal, distant scene, etc.) it is solid! As you move out of it's correction range ( /- 3 degrees) the image will seem to "float" away to one side or the other (however you are panning the binoculars).
Point 9. They time out after 5 minutes being turned on but not being moved. You won't eat up the batteries that way. The batteries (2 AA's) last about 6 hours of use, so that's not a huge concern anyway. OF course, when off...they are a very good pair of normal binoculars.
Point 10...I can't say enough good things about these.
I have the camoflauge "RealTree" models. They even float, the specs are the same for the "plain" black Binoculars. The eye cups twist out and in depending on if you're wearing glasses or not. There is /- 3 degrees of diopter correction, they are fully multi-coated, absolutely quiet in operation and a real pleasure to own.
The center focus is smooth and easy. The small "box" that fits under your left hand holds the 2 batteries. There are 2 LED's to give you their status and to warn of a low battery condition. They come with a soft case, wide neck strap and rubber eye piece caps.
All in all, a complete package, far superior to the Canon 10x30 IS binoculars (and more costly too...but in my opinion, well worth it). Yes, I got a fantastic deal but now, if I had to replace them, I'd pay the normal price..they are that good!
For my usage, sports, wildlife viewing, backyard astronomy, they are perfect!
