terrible.......2007-12-28
Bought two of these, one for each child, for Christmas. Don't waste your money. The picture the ads show for the preview image is doctored. False advertising if you ask me! The preview image is so poor you can't tell what you are looking at. I agree with the other poor reviews. This product will basically just fluster your child and be tossed aside immediately. Don't buy it. I'm not sure which kid friendly camera to go with, but this one misleads terribly.
Horrible.......2007-12-27
I purcased this camera as the final gift for my daughter. I thought the idea of her being able to use it and then editting the pics with the included software sounded like a great intro into scrapbooking with me. It turns on and then immediately back off. You have to do a combo of pushing the power button to get it to stay on. Then, the photos are terrible. My daughter packed it around for 1/2 an hour trying to figure it out and then lost all hope and it went by the wayside.

Piece of "you know what!" Just awful!!!.......2007-12-24
This is the worst piece of technology I've ever encountered. To President and CEO of Crayola LLC, Mark J. Schwab and the rest of your management team, Dona Fisher, VP and CFO and Thomas J. Owens, VP, Operations...do you know how absolutely worthless this camera is?!?!? The creators of this camera deserve to be fired for the trying to pass this off as a camera. My husband is having a hard time installing the software because it just doesn't work, and mind you he is a Senior SystemS Administrator in IT, the sounds of the buttons are obnoxious and the camera takes such poor quality pictures that delete after the camera is shut off. SHAME ON YOU Crayola LLC for trying market such a worthless item to young children. Save your money and DON'T BUY THIS CAMERA!!! I wish I could give this MINUS 5 stars if I could! Thanks for ruining my son's Christmas present.
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.......2007-12-13
Both of my daughters for Christmas. I purchased the first one on sale and the other at full price. I took them out of the packages. I wanted them to be able to use the cameras right away when they opened them on Christmas this year. I put the batteries in the camera, which was difficult because the batteries are held in by two very small screws that are hard to remove. Once I got the camera together, I decided to test it out. The photo quality was absolutly horrible. I took a picture of my cat and it looked like a blob with lightes shooting out. My boyfriend then attempted to take a photo of me at optimal 5ft distance. You can only recognize the shape of the person, not the person in the photo. Needless to say, one of the cameras is going right back to the store. Unfortunately since they were purchased and opened at different times, I only have the packaging for one camera. I plan on giving my 2 year old the camera we are keeping, so she can get used to taking care of something. Hopefully it is at least durable. I wouldn't waste my money on this product if I were you. Lessons learned, do your research before you purchase.
Would give it no stars if possible.......2007-12-03
I purchased cameras for all of my kids for our trip to Disney World. They each received their cameras on their preceding birthdays. My youngest's birthday was just a week before our departure date. Immediately after we opened the package we were finding problems. In order to change the batteries (which must be rechargable and run out quickly) you have to remove two screws--not practical for daily changing. Then, the previews on the LCD monitor were all "oversxposed". There isn't a way to turn off the flash so there was no way to resolve the issue. We also had difficulty with the software that came with the product. I contacted the company and they were rude and useless. I am very dissastisfied. The camera is going back and I will be purchasing something else before our trip--money I did not plan on spending.

Just Awful!.......2007-12-27
Please, don't waste your money on this camera...it is absolutely the worst!
The lcd viewer is worthless and the pictures are just terrible....grainy, blurry, poor color....Crayola did not do their homework on this product. (I guess neither did I!)
Waste of money.......2007-11-29
I bought this camera for my 5 year old nephew and it was a complete waste of money. You would think that for $40 the camera would be decent, but you'd be wrong. The box is closed on the back, so in the store you can't see how big the LDC preview screen is, and once you open it you find that it is only about an inch big. Then once you turn the camera on, you find that the preview image is horrible. The image, if you can even call it an image, is blurry and grainy and completely undecipherable. For a camera that is marketed towards children who thrive on instant gratification, it fails to deliver and is useless. My nephew took one picture, saw that he couldn't see the picture, and never touched the camera again. Do not waste your money on this camera.
Not Worth It!.......2007-08-07
Bought this camera for my son. He took the 24 pics (memory aloud) then the camera turned off. We lost all the pics. This happen 3 times then the camera did not turn back on.
I would not recomend this camera. Son was very upset that it did not work.
My daughters love them!.......2007-07-27
We bought 2 cameras for our daughters ages 4 and 7. They both loved being able to take photos very easily and were able to maneuver their way around all the controls. For my younger daughter, the highlight was just taking the photos. We helped her create the puppets with the software provided and had a lot of fun doing this craft together. My older daughter was able to utilize the software on her own for the most part and tried out all the different games and crafts pretty much on her own. This camera's price and ease of use was perfect for our kids. I did not expect it to operate like our $500 camera, but more like their first experience with a digital camera and it held up to our expectations.
Do not buy this........2007-07-22
We bought this for our daughter who loves to take pictures with our Canon Rebel XT. This is the worst camera ever. We bought the first one and had to take it back the same day. She took maybe 10 pictures with it before the batteries died, which means that the pictures were lost. We used the manufacturer suggested batteries. She (and we) are very disappointed that Crayola would put their name to this product. Since we didn't get to print any of the pictures, we can't say much about the picture quality.

Great T-Adapter.......2007-09-28
The Celestron T-Adapter for Schmidt Cassegrains is a nice one. It is sturdy enough to hold the weight of my Minolta Maxxum 7D digital camera. I used it today to take pictures of the sun. I also took some pictures of nearby objects. I had the telescope at 90 degree and 160 degree angles. The T-Adapter remained sturdy the whole time. Great product.
