I bought this for my husband for Christmas along with the CD player for his car. From the first time he tried it we could not get it to work. Not sure if it was the adapter or the CD player but we ended up returning both for a refund.

I love this kit! It sounds oh-so-good! I especially love the fact that you can change the adapter plug on the casette adapter from front-loading to side-loading. Very convenient! I also like all of the voltage adapters, I have used it to charge my cell phone as well as operate my CD player.
As for the other reviews listed, I don't know why they would rate it negatively at all. One said the casette adapter didn't come with it, he obviously got the wrong item. As far as the one that said the fuse blew, I would have first checked the voltage regulator in my car...

Lumix FX30S Simple powerful and a great value. .......2007-12-27
I bought the Lumix FX30S for my wife to replace her dead 3mp point and shoot. I like the straight forward intuitive menus and functions and it took an 8gb SD card with no problem. The 28mm lens is a great and overall the lens does focus well and quickly. The IS feature works well and allows an extra stop or so of no flash low light shooting. The output is excellent and considering it's Leica counterpart is several hundred dollars more this little Pany is a ridiculous bargain. One caveat, this is a point and shoot and like all it's brethren is meant to be a fun and easy option for casual photos. If that is what you are after you will have a hard time doing better and could easily spend more and do worse.
big camera, small package........2007-12-27
I needed a small easy to use camera that was not a technical compromise in terms of optics and features and this is it. Basically a leica for 1/3 of the price , easy to operate in social situations, and as good as any digital slr on the market under a thousand dollars in most other circumstances.
Personally I prefer the black version which has a textured surface which is important in an object this small and which doesn't bounce.

I foolishly bought this camera after having an HP R707 and an Olympus SP350 thinking that the Leica lens and "Venus 3" engine made the camera perfect for me. Might I also ad that I was deceived by all the great reviews. I began taking pictures right out of the box. The first thing that I noticed was how small the camera is, which is good considering travel frequently. It's a very beautiful camera, I must say.
Pros:
1. Beautiful, slim and small.
2. Easy menus - very user friendly.
3. Lightweight.
4. Quick startup, fast shutter speed.
Cons: (I am not a professional photographer nor am I a "Pixel counter")
1. Venus engine? Noise reduction? what!? these take the grainiest pictures I have ever seen in low light without the flash - I felt like crying.
2. Poor image quality. The camera sometimes does not focus on the subjects therefore resulting in unfocused photographs. To top that off, the flash washes out the subjects. Reds look too pink and flesh tones come washed out, pale and pink (Almost like the persons skin is irritated). As for the rest of the pictures, even outdoors, colors are washed out.
3. Image stabilization works, but the only time you need it would be in low light with no flash. Your grainy pictures will not be ruined by blur.
4. Lag. Yes, the camera takes pictures quickly but wait until you want to review them! click the review button and watch an hourglass twirl for about 5 seconds. Each time you decide to review a different picture, you'll have to wait about 2-3 seconds for the camera to load.
This product is extremely disappointing in terms of image quality. I strongly advise you to look at Canon, Olympus or Nikon. Gee Panasonic, you fooled me and now you've trapped me for the next three to four years.

Very good pictures without the need for firing up your favorite photo editor. It even allows to take the pictures in various size formats/ratios e.g. 4X6 photo eliminates the need for cropping before printing assuming you framed the shot properly. In my opinion, wide angle lens is more important than any other feature.

These binoculars are among the finest available. Period! I've taken great pleasure in using a pair for studying birds, insects, landscapes, and other wonders of nature. They have all the attributes one would hope for in binoculars. They're optically exceptional. They're comfortable to use. They're waterproof. They're rugged.
One of my favorite attributes is that they can focus very close. I can watch a tick crawling across my foot, a butterfly at a flower just outside my window, or a starfish in a tide pool I'm standing in. They're wonderful!
As I again checked the Amazon page on these binoculars, I saw the exhortation, "Hi Roger, you purchased this item--please tell us what you think. Rate it." Ironically, I wrote this review long before I got the pair I ordered from Amazon. With each subsequent message of delayed shipping, I saw the same exhortation: "Hi Roger, you purchased ... Rate it." Just as if they'd actually been delivered. In fact, I didn't receive them for a few months, after *many* delay notices.
Sending in a review was the only communication method I tried during that time that I know actually got someone's attention. Because it was more a review of Amazon's service on that particular order than a review of the binoculars. Imagine my surprise in seeing my edited review posted on the Amazon web site - helping Amazon to sell more of these binoculars - when Amazon still hadn't managed to deliver mine.
The portion of the review that pertained to Amazon was, of course, censored. And that leaves me wondering how many other reviews that I read here are edited to tell us only the good stuff.
Under the circumstances, I'm asking that Amazon do one of two things. Publish this review on the Amazon web site in its entirety, or remove it completely.
