Amazing Product.......2007-05-11
I got this camera as a present a year ago, and dropped it in the ocean when I was on vacation...:( I bought an other camera, but the picture quality didn't live up to the standards set by the Dimage X1. So, I did a lot a research trying to find the Dimage X1 again. This is the most amazing camera ever -- to bad it's not in production any more. Picture quality is great. The anti-shake feature help to take the most amazing pictures. By far THE best digital camera I've owned.

The camera I bought, well it was a Christmas gift for my daughter, her previous camera was stolen, so I replaced it. Thank you for getting me the gift right away and ready for Christmas.

Missing parts.......2007-01-10
Hi, when I ordered this Minolta Digital Camera I picked a seller that was offering the best price for the camera I wanted. What was missing was the information that I was buying a camera without a card. I would have been happy to purchase a separate memory card, if that information has been stated in the listing. But, I was surprised to find all the pieces of the camera, cradle, cords, and battery in the box but no card. When I contacted the seller, they informed me that the camera was being offered without a memory card. Somehow I missed that information when I placed my order.
Since then I have purchased a camera 2.0 G memory card, on sale at Circuit City for a huge reduction in price. So it all worked out for the best.
I guess what I would like to see Amazon do about these kinds of ads, is make sure that if something is being offered for sale that all of its parts are listed, or if something is not included, there should be a note to that effect in the ad.
No one does it better than Amazon. I have been able to find things on your website when no one else could come up with it. I love Amazon you are AMAZING,com

This camera replaces a wonderful but bulky Cannon 4MP. While on a trip to Japan, I realized I should've packed my little brick of a camera. I decided to go price some of the cameras there, expecting their usually expensive prices. I found this one for $170 (a favorable Yen rate helped). I bought it, and the clerk was nice enough to change the menu language to English. The book, however, is in Japanese. I set out to get some shots, day and night. The instant preview was useful since I was able to adjust settings and retake to see the difference (you can zoom on the preview screen). I had a 1 gig SD card in my PDA which is now in the camera. At first it did not read it, but after a couple of format trial and errors, I got it to work perfectly. At the highest setting, and taking some movies, it proved to be enough for lots of pictures. I'm grateful for the reviewers who mentioned the ISO setting recommendation: I'll try that. I found the controls and menus sufficent for taking great pictures without the benefit of the manual. I will download the english version at the earliest opportunity, though. Don't you just love the internet?????
Highly recommeneded for those who take the time to adjust settings and check out the preview shots.

I love this camera. I get great pictures in all kinds of light, indoors or outdoors, flash or no flash. The pics are crisp and capture every detail (even stuff you don't know you're shooting!). I've had professional quality results when taking portraits. The LCD screen is a good size and the photo options are alot of fun. Even the video feature is pretty good, with a better than expected mic range. I reccomend this camera every chance I get!

Warranty Nightmare.......2006-10-17
My Swift Binocoulars was exposed to a rain shower on my deck. The promply fogged up. I called the customers service rep and he was most helpful. He told me to mail the bino to the repair center which I did. Two weeks later he called me back to check in. Wow, what a great customers service. This is when it fell apart. He said that a replacement pair would be sent and I patiently waited. A week or so later my old pair showed back up unrepaired. I called him back and he appologized and said to mail them back and he would replace them with a demo set. I mailed them back Aug. 7th and I'm still waiting. In the meantime I learned that Safetgard had acquired the bino division from Swift out of bankruptcy. I contacted Safetgard and they have continued to give me the run around. Now they said they can't locate the bino that I returned. I would refrain from getting involved with this company in any manner until they get their act together.

I wrote to the owner of the company (Mrs. Swift). I was told that the pair of binoculars that I received were part of a defective shipment. They sent me a new pair. The clarity and close focus of this model are excellent. You can't do better for the price.
unreliable product--horrendous customer service.......2003-07-29
I already had a nice pair of binculars, but I wanted a water-proof pair for a bird watching trip to the Amazon. I decided on the Swift 820. The trip was ruined when they fogged up. They were exposed to humidity but not rain (it was the dry season). Since I was at a very remote location, the only possible way to salvage the trip was to try to remove the water. I broke the binoculars in the process. I told Swift the entire story. They told me that the binoculars were obviously defective and agreed to send me a new pair, but they changed their mind after I sent my binoculars to them. What kind of company won't stand behind a defective product that ruins a once-in-a-lifetime trip for a customer?
