Vista Driver Problems.......2007-12-14
I can see in some reviews that folks have had success with this card. However, I experienced all the poor signal/connection troubles that have been reported for this card. Even though Intel keeps updating the drivers for it you should search the internet regarding these issues before buying this card. I wasted far too much time with it. The aopen card I bought when I finally gave up and tossed the Intel worked from the first moment I turned it on.

This card and its drivers has taken my Sony Vaio and my internet experience to a new low. A disgraceful showing by Intel who simply can't fix their own problems. STEER CLEAR, you have been warned.
Mini-PCI Express form factor NOT Mini-PCI.......2007-07-20
I failed to realize that Mini-PCI Expre != Mini-PCI and the card wouldn't fit my centrino lappy. I'm not returning as I will use it in my next laptop -- so many come with broadcom (yuck) cards and I prefer OSS friendly manufacturers like INTEL.

Intel released a set of very bad drivers which is spreading through several different releases and after 4 weeks still not fixed. As an example search the official Dell forums for this error and the card a Dell support technician publicly admits issues. This is problem is not vendor specific.
The card itself is easy to configure and reaches average strength with my Linksys router. It has worked fine for a few months until I installed a recommended driver update and things went downhill from there. Support from Intel is bad and almost non-existent.

I have a Dell Precision M90 laptop (Its a $3,000 laptop) with high end features. I purchased the Intel Pro/wireless 3945ABG network adapter - Mini-pci Express card, which connects internally. I was surpised to get such excellent wireless reception - 7 networks found, mostly from other houses in my neighborhood. I never get any disconnects, and from my Linksys router, I get excellent reception from anywhere in my apartment. This Intel wireless card is excellent. The only drawback is that the Intel CD which comes with the Intel wireless card has very outdated drivers. I suggest you go to the web and download the latest Intel drivers (instead of using the Intel CD).

Was using 7 X 25 Bushnells to watch the birds at the bird feeder. treated myself to these 8 X 30 Bushnells and just a world of difference. Wish I had gotten them sooner. Work great with glasses.
GREAT little binocular!.......2003-11-21
I've had this binocular for several years and LOVE it! The extra wide view is the cat's meow when you're trying to see the big picture! It's easy to focus; has the extendable pieces to protect my glasses lenses; and provides a very clear view. The only thing I've used it for is to watch the critters in and near the water (whales, eagles, etc.), and it is everything I've always wanted in a binocular! I've always had trouble focusing and finding things with the bigger binoculars that don't show much through the lenses.
