not 'real' 8 guage.......2007-02-25
The wire inside the thick insulation is maybe 10 or 12 gauge. The outer diameter is the same as a normal 8 gauge car audio power wire, however it's mostly insulation. Very poor quality wire. Look elsewhere.

Great little camera!.......2007-12-21
I think this camera is great!
It just amazes me how people bad mouth things that are not perfect.
I got a great deal for $179.99 at Officemax back in August 2007.
Pros:
Perfect compact size, and takes great pictures. I take it everywhere

Everyone I show my pictures too always says, wow you camera takes good pictures".
Easy to use!
Flip the door down to turn on is very cool.
Cons:
I do notice the white spots every now and then, but it is not all the time.
And yes it has a monsterous all in one chord, but so what?
And no one likes the red-eye reduction mode everyone says they go blind from it,
so I had to turn it off. and now all my pics have red eye.
So do not listen to all the bad reviews here, this is a great little camera.
I am very happy with my purchase.
Don't be fooled by it's cute design.......2007-12-14
So I waited and saved up to buy THIS camera. I had to have it after seeing how cute it was and hearing about all of its features including the supposedly Super SteadyShot stabilization. So finally, I bought it and I must say, for the price, it has been a let down. Don't get me wrong, it's VERY cute and small - easily fitting into a pocket or purse. And some of the features are very nice, like the flip down front to turn on and off, but the negatives outweigh the positives. Use your $300+ dollars towards a SLR camera or save yourself some money and buy a cheaper camera. This one is not worth it. I made the mistake of not returning it a few days after I got it, thinking I just didn't know how to use it properly. If anyone reads this review and still wants a barely used t10, contact me!
My major problems inlcude:
**Even though it has "Super SteadyShot stabilization" I still get blurry pictures just like I would with any other camera. I don't see this amazing technology Sony claims this camera possesses.
**There's something wrong with the design of the camera and the flash being so close the the lens. This results in large reflective circles appearing in some of your pictures for no apparent reason and it's impossible to repair the image once this has happened. You never know when they will appear and it results in the picture being ruined. Sony acknowledges the problem but offers no solution. They claim it's due to "dust particles in the air."
**The next MAJOR problem is red eye. I have never experienced such terrible red eye problems on any camera. There is a red eye reduction setting which does ABSOLUTEY NOTHING.
**The camera is cute and small, but the cord that comes with it to transfer pictures resembles an octopus. Sony attempted to make an "all-in-one" cord for this camera, but ended up making a nuissance. I like to carry the camera and cord in one small case so, if need be, I can transfer my pictures to a computer whenever I like. This cord makes that impossible because although the camera is tiny in size, this cord would take up half my purse! It may seem trivial, but it's a pain to me.
An Everymans Camera.......2007-12-12
Im a soldier currently serving in Baghdad, Iraq. Before deploying, I, like everyone else who's deployed in the last three years, made sure that I wouldnt be going without a camera. Knowing next to nothing about cameras, I just went down to Best Buy and looked at every one they had, I chose the T10 because of the fact that it was small, it turned on quickly, and I wouldnt have to wait four or five seconds after I pushed the button for the camera to actually take the picture, I figured a majority of my shots would be action scenes and/or snap shots.
Once over seas my T10 has proved to be one of the most reliable pieces of equipment I have, I never leave the FOB without it. Its been dropped a few times (In a carrying case made by Lowepro), seen combat, has a sizable dent in the front, scratched all over, and undoubtedly has a pound of Iraqi dust inside, and it still works as well as the day I bought it a year ago. I dont know whats its specs are, I dont care, its been able to accomplish any task I throw at it and more. The picture quality looks great to me, photos are crisp and clear, even while taking the previously mentioned "snap shots," with great lighting even without a flash; with a 2GB memory card I can hold 101 pictures. The videos play smoothly and clear with a microphone that pics up almost everything; with 2GB memory stick I can hold 93 minutes and six seconds worth of video. The controls and functions are very intuitive, Im just a dumb ol' Infantryman and I figured out how to use it without ever really reading the manual; every now and again I even stumble upon something new. Most functions can be done with one button on the back, that includes flash, timer, macro, zoom, last picture review, switching between review/picture/video mode, delete, birghtness, and screen display just to name the important ones. The battery life is very long, I normally go a week or so on one charge with normal use: 100 minutes charge time for pictures, 80 minutes of video time, and 150 minutes of review time. The most impressive thing though, in my opinion any way, is the T10s ability to take pictures quickly, all I have to do is slid the front cover down, less then a second later the camera is ready to go, I point and shoot, maybe one second goes by, on average, before the picture is captured; no other camera I looked at could compete with that performance.
So, although some dont consider it the best art house camera, it is definatly something for the everyman. The price isnt low, but its not high either; its a small piece of electronic equipment, its going to be pricey, besides, you get what you pay for, and a year after buying it, I like to think that I've got my moneys worth. I figure even with new technology I'll hold on to the T10 for another year or so, then I'll get Sony's newest T series camera.
Worst camara and customer service........2007-10-25
Got this camara and only use it once in a couple months, and suddenly the LCD screen shows only white screen, i talked to Sony customer support and got the answer that does happen sometime and have me to ship it back to them under the warranty. A week after sending it back i got a phone call from Sony saying that was a physical damage and the LCD is cracked. When i asked if LCD is cracked and the light can still be on? the guy couldn't answered only saying that the information will not be change, I told him it's not crack and there is not even a scratch on my camara anywhere because i don't really use them. and again, all he reply is "the information is not going to change" When i ask to speak to somebody else and again i got "the information is not going to change", I start wondering if i was talking to a machine or a live person. And i ask again to speak to somebody else he said there's only him... A whole Sony company has only 1 person working??? for a 10 mins call all i can heard from this guy is "the information is not going to change" and he just hang up on me. For whole 15 years i only buy Sony electronic and all i got is "the informations is not going to change, there's only me no one else in Sony"...lol~

The size and metal body were too cool to ignore. I got a killer deal since this was on clearance, but a week later, it went back to the store.
Why? Because I get horrible, random white spots appearing in photos. There was no rhyme or reason for them, though I think they were caused by reflections.
I also had many problems with auto focus and constantly had to adjust the scene mode and flash to get a decent picture. Sometimes pictures would look great and other times they would be blurry, as if the camera couldn't figure out what to focus on.
The LCD also fails to "gain up" in low light, making it difficult to frame shots in less than adequate lighting.
On the plus side, the size and speed are fantastic. I would recommend looking at the newer T50 and T100 models, as Sony has addressed these issues. The CyberShot DSC-N2 is also a terrific alternative.
