Why would you need this??
- the Garmin iQue 3600 Auto Navigation Kit will charge as well as this item and has the added advantage of allowing you to use the Garmin 3600 as it was meant to be used...as a hands free GPS navigation system.
iQ3600 12 volt charger.......2004-01-06
This is the second 12 volt charger I've had. Both have blown fuses in my vehicle, then the units also blew something since they didn't work anymore. Garmin did send the second unit at no charge since its under warranty. I'm now calling for a third unit!!!
Poor quality adaptor.......2003-12-01
I bought this adaptor and found it makes a lot of noise when in use. So I asked for a replacement. The replacement does not make noise any more. But there is 10% chance it will blow your car's fuse.

I previously used the auto-kit for my I-Que 3600 that used a weighted bag/stand that rested on the dash. This was okay but i did not care for how visible all the connection cords were and with a sharp turn the weighted stand would slide off the dash. I like this kit because it has a much cleaner appearance without all the cords showing. It provides good viewing with the ability to rotate the angle of the I-Que. The only problem is you have to be careful in connecting the IQue and then placing it into the mount because the connection can sometimes come loose. Once it is connected and mounted, though, it works great.

Dear Friends,
How can an SLR have a view screen view finder? When the reflex mirror is down no image can get to the detector. All the light is reflected off the mirror into the eye piece. Get it together before you write a review.

This is Samsung's version of the Pentax *ist DL........2006-12-21
It's worth looking for reviews on the *ist DL too, because it's the same camera. There are slight cosmetic differences, but nothing that affects the image quality, operation or accessories. It takes the same lenses. I've used the Pentax version and it is an excellent DSLR. It's one of the smallest available, which is very nice - especially if you use it with one of Pentax' pancake lenses, which are available at 21, 40 and 77mm focal lengths. With one of those mounted, it's scarcely bigger than a point&shoot. These cameras are much more comfortable to hold than the Canon Digital Rebel XT and XTi, which are other small-size SLRs.
If you're looking at this, you may also wish to look at Pentax' new 6 megapixel models, the K100D and K110D. The K110D is an upgrade to the *ist DL, while the K100D adds image stabilization. Both are pretty much the same body as the *ist DL and GX-1L, and the image processing has been improved in the opinion of many reviewers.

This is my first DSLR and my first SLR type camera. I love it! And am still learning about it.
The only frustrating thing is that it doesn't seem to have the ability to use the digital screen as a view finder. I am, however, enjoying actually using the regular view finder for a change.
