This is a wonderful item, speccialy for speaken regoniztion.
I recommend it to everyone.
too hot on the ears.......2006-10-09
- foam ear covering was too hot and the cushioning is inadequate.
- the headset automatically adjusts to one's head. It is not possible to adjust it. I have mixed feelings about this. I didn't not notice it, but at the same time thought it might fall off.
- The microphone is outstanding.
- The USB did not work well. Sometimes the sound went through my speakers and sometimes through the headset. I could not understand the logic of it. I did not call tech support b/c of the hot ear foam muffs.
I returned it and bought a $20 Cyber Acoustics non-USB headset that works well.
Great Headset.......2006-08-30
So, after my faithful Plantronics headset decided to just clunk out it was time to do some headset shopping. I was a little weary when buying this since there was only 1 review and after doing some research I still couldn't find a review anywhere. But I went and bought it anyway and WOW. This is one of the best headsets I've had in awhile. Its very comfortable after hours of use with pillow soft cushions for ultra comfort. The microphone works pretty good as well. For applications like skype the mic quality should be great, and I am told I was heard very crisp and clear.
Pros:
*Comfortable
*Good microphone quality
*Smaller DSP then most other DSP headsets
*Easy access to volume controls
Cons:
*No LED light on the mute switch so if you mute its easy to forget to unmute.
*Thats it :)
If your looking for a good headset in this price range then the GN-Netcom 503 USB is the way to go.
Overall a pretty decent headset! - Purchased Aug 2005.......2005-09-02
I tried researching this against the Plantronics DSP 500 on the web. Found no reviews on the GN 503 but lots on the DSP 500. Most salespeople in our company use either GN Netcom or Plantronic headsets. I decided to give the GN 503 a try instead as both companies have good products. This is my first headset purchase for the home and this was a little bit cheaper as I believe that the Plantronics is a bit overpriced to begin with on the retail value. And for a few dollars less, I gambled on the reputation of the GN headset. I am not a gamer. Main reasons for purchase: to listen to music, voip, powerpoint presentations with recorded voice. Cord is almost 8.5 feet long. Personally, I like the length. Others might get tangled in it. I use Windows XP. Mute button is not completely mute. Inability to switch back to my computer speakers easily - I utilize the Rhapsody music service. When I take the usb connection off to try to listen to my other speakers, the streaming stops. These problems may be apparent with the DSP 500 as well in the reviews. I not a audiophile, however - Flexible Mic and speakers are pretty decent from what I can tell. I do hear a slight recurring noise which might be due to it being a USB connection versus plugs in the back of the computer. From what I can remember, I read that it might be a problem with most/all USB headsets. It's lightweight and pretty comfortable. Some might find that it might not feel snug. Ear pads stay on the ear after a moment of adjustment. Ear pads sit on the ear and does not go over the whole ear.
I might come back later and say that I should have purchased the DSP 500. Let's hope that is not the case as I believe that I made a good gamble on the GN 503. These headsets look like it can last for a while.

Customer Reviews:
This camera is horrible and customer service stinks.......2007-08-16
I purchased two of these cameras for wildlife surveys and they both worked for about 1 week then one of them started to only take black images both day and night. So I sent it in for repair and they charged me 10$ to send it in even though it was under warranty then I got it back and it worked for a few weeks and it messed up again and I sent it in again and another 10$ and then it broke again so I gave up on this camera. The other system worked for about 1 month got some good images on it then it started doing the same thing as the first one so then I quit using either camera now they are just sitting and collecting dust. Probably should just throw them away. I have since purchased three other camera brands and would recommend the leaf river IR3-bu as my favorite IR flash camera even over the the other two cameras I have tried the no flash cuddeback and stealh cam I230IR.
This Product Doesn't Deliver.......2006-04-18
I have used the Bushnell Trail Scout Pro 2.1 MP for a little over two weeks now and it has been a disappointment. The unit has not produced a single in-focus picture in any of its operational modes. Although not described in the instruction manual, the device appears to use an infra red focusing light and receiver. The 'focusing' time interval is several seconds long before the camera snaps a picture which may suggest that the source/receiver aren't well matched or are underpowered. It may also be that Bushnell is using a single compromise algorithm for both visible and infra red light when focusing - the result of which is that the camera is never in focus.
Both the LED flash and the incandescent flash are so weak that almost all night images have to be extensively post processed just to see what is in the photo. The incandescent flash is good for about 15 feet while the IR flash is even less. This is unfortunate since the infra red motion detector works for over 30 feet even for small animals.
The unit I have is also erratic in performance: a fair number of photos are inexplicably overexposed while others (at night) are totally black and can't be processed at all. The instruction manual in the box and the Bushnell website have not been helpful. The worst of it is that the Bushnell folks are very hard to contact. They do not have a customer service email address posted on their website which leaves telephone fax or writing a letter. After telephone waits I have faxed them a number of times and am still waiting for a response.
The idea of this product is good and the equipment appears and feels rugged so if the folks at Bushnell can figure out how to make it work properly and then describe it with a better manual they will have something worth the price. Until then I suggest purchasers look to other sources for a better product, but I will warn you in advance - other solutions will be more costly.

Every owner of a Schmidt-Cassegrain or Maksutov telescope knows what a pain dew can be. When it forms on the front corrector plate or lens, it's usually time to call it a night. Our FlexiShield dew cap is the answer. It reduces the formation of dew, prolonging your observing sessions. It's made of durable, flexible ABS plastic that won't chip or break like hard dew caps. It wraps snugly around your telescope tube and fastens with Velcro. FlexiShield can be stored flat or rolled up for convenient storage and transport. It also makes an excellent lens shade when using your telescope in daylight.
