It's fine if you don't need sound or a parallel port.......2006-11-03
I bought this for use in the office. The unit is hearty and well constructed. It includes both an analog video port and a DVI port, 4 usb ports, and gigabit networking.
However, it does NOT include a jack for external speakers, microphone, firewire, or a parallel port. I can understand skipping the parallel port, but the other three boggle the mind. They're small and arguably very necessary in many circumstances.
And it's not like they didn't have room for them on the back. Toshiba just decided not to include them. Unfortunately, if you own a Portege M400 like me, this port replicator is your only option.
I was going to buy a second one for home, but decided not to since it doesn't have all the functionality I need.

Optics and Resolution
The 3.2-megapixel resolution creates images large enough to print 11-by-17-inch enlargements. The 14-bit DXP system plus Super HAD CCD combine to produce excellent image detail and stunningly smooth contrast and color rendition. The Cyber-shot DSC-P32 offers a 3.2x digital zoom.
Storage and Transfer
Images are stored on Memory Sticks, and a 16 MB Memory Stick is included. The Cyber-shot DSC-P32 is also one of the first Sony cameras to be compatible with optional Memory Stick Pro media, which can extends data capacity up to 1 GB.
Images can be downloaded to either a Mac or PC via USB connectivity, which means it can be connected to any USB-based Windows 98/Me/2000/XP and Mac OS 8.6 or later computer without installing any software.
Movie Mode
You can capture far more than still images with the MPEG Movie VX function. Most digital cameras' movie modes are limited to 30- or 60-second clips, but the Cyber-shot DSC-P32 can keep shooting until you've filled the memory card. When used with Memory Stick Pro media, you can shoot approximately 22 minutes of video.

This is actually quite resonable product and very easy to use. It's not groundbreaking or anything, but it offers some quality pictures and is adjustable in various ways. The pricing is resonable and the you pretty much get what you buy.
Nice Camera + Small Package.......2005-12-16
This is a great camera for the size. I originally purchased this camera about two years ago for Stormfront Productions (...). We have used it on several photo shoots and the quality has really livened up some of our web sites. Why purchase stock photography when you can go shoot exactly what you need with this camera? I would recommend it to small businesses looking to provide photos for web sites.

I've been using this camera for about 2 years now. You'll fine that the zoom is incredible small. However, don't let that fool you, this little camera is great for at night shooting.
The options on the camera is lovely for its little cybershot-self. However, if you want to do some professional shooting, this is NOT the camera.
The photos do come out lovely, but the lighting often comes out all wrong! To be a user of this camera, you might have to be friendly with Photoshop or some kind photo editing program.
The other con's of this camera is that the battery often runs out. It takes a lot of power to run the camera and the LCD (There's an option to turn the LCD screen off). The memory slot gets dusty very easy, and when that happens, it often leads to complication...like the one's I'm having now. The camera often can not read the memory stick!
However, despite all its con's: this is a lovely camera for just snapshots! Nothing professional on it.

This camera's REALLY great for MOTION shots!! very fast shutterspeed. Awesome, awesome camera that I totally recommend!
Nice Basic Camera.......2005-02-24
This camera provides an affordable entry into digital photography. Nothing to fancy. Very easy to use, takes high enough qaulity pictures to get great 5x7 prints. Battery life is decent enough to use regular batteries. But it would be worth it to get some extra rechargables. And it takes Mem Stick Pro media, up to 2GB!
My only gripe is the lack of an optical zoom.
