Designed to support and enhance the functionality of Texas Instruments graphing calculators, the TI-Graph Link connects your calculator to your computer. Use it to install calculator software and to downloaded data directly from the Web. You can also create and edit programs right on your screen while still having all your usual calculator functions. The program protection feature allows you to prevent editing after a program has been loaded onto your calculator. You can transfer both screen shots and files from your computer to your calculator. You can also store your calculator's programs and data on your computer or make backups of your graphing calculator's memory.
The TI-Graph Link supports Windows 95, 98, and NT 4.0, supports EGA, VGA, XGA, and SVGA video adapters, and supports a 3.5-inch floppy disk, CD-ROM, or Internet connection. For Windows 95/98 users, an 8 MB RAM module is available; and for Windows NT 4.0 users, a 16 MB RAM module is available. Included with the cable are a CD-ROM with software and a guidebook. The TI-Graph Link comes in black and is compatible with the TI-73, TI-83, TI-83 Plus, TI-86, TI-89, TI-92, TI-92 Plus, and other models that may be available in the future. Adapters for both PC and Macintosh are included.

Great for Macs and PC's.......2003-07-14
This is the full "Grey" cable set, not the less expensive PC-only "black" cable, with multiple serial connectors - thus the higher retail price. It works great on any PC or Mac with a serial port. On older Macs without a USB port, it's the only way to go. Great for labs or homes where both PC's and Macs are in use. Allows speedy downloads of programs to your calculator (check out ticalc dot org for lots of free software).

The TI Graph Link cable connects any TI graphing calculator (TI-73, TI-82, TI-83, TI-83 Plus, TI-85, TI-86, TI-89, TI-92, TI-92 Plus) to a PC or Mac so that you can transfer files back and forth between the two. This is a very handy thing to have. It is extremely useful for calculator backups (a good thing to do every once in a while in case your TI crashes), and you can download a bunch of stuff off the Net to put on your calculator. You can buy the cable by itself, or you can buy it with the Graph Link software. I imagine that the cable Amazon is selling comes with software. However, if it is just the cable, you can download the software from TI's home page at ...
The software for different calculators (I have linked to the TI-83, the TI-85, and the TI-86) is more or less the same; the confusing thing is that every calculator has a different procedure for linking. With some (such as the 86), you must be at the home screen; with others (such as the 85), you must be in receive (or send) mode.
One warning, however: This cable works with both Windows and Mac. If you're a Windows user, though, DO NOT buy this cable; ($) is way too much. Buy the Windows-only cable (Amazon also sells this), because it's much cheaper. If you're a Mac user, I don't think you have a choice. You must buy this one (or buy a PC, but that would be a bit overboard).
All in all, I would highly recommend buying a Graph Link. Make sure you have an available serial port (at least for the Windows cable), plug the cable in and go. Have fun playing Tetris. :-)

DSC-S70. Still at the top of its class.......2007-11-20
I have owned my Sony DSC-S70 for many years now. I bought it for just under $600 at the Sony store at Woodbury Commons, NY. It was marked B Stock on the box which indicated it was refurbished. At the time, they were very hard to find and it was regarded as the best available digital camera on the market. Since then, I have tried several different digital cameras but none come close to the accuracy of the color reproduction of the DSC-S70. This can be attributed to the superior optics designed by Carl Zeiss. The movie mode is great too although, your limited to 15 second clips. I have posted some pics here on Amazon. Take a look at the quality of the macro shots. It may not be the fastest or the most portable camera but it does take consistently good pics. It also takes RAW images which you will not find on most point and shoots out there today. In order to get this feature, you would have to step up to a DSLR. Enough jibber jabber. Check out the pics.

So simple --- just click --- whether in bright sun or in low light (with or without flash), under almost any conditions. What a delight!
Our Sony DSC-S70 has proven itself time and again, so --- even though we have two excellent Canon digital SLRs and all sorts of lenses --- we keep it with us virtually everywhere we go, both for backup shots and as our primary camera when we need a comfortable carry. It's a real winner!

Even after I have purchaced my new A100 10 mega pixle SLR camera I still find myself takeing this 7 year old DSC-S70 with me on day trips, the picture quality is amazing even for todays standards. It wont accept my new 1 and 2GB memory sticks, but that is expected. Awesome job Sony!

I know this camera is now out of date with only 3.3 mp, however I just wanted to say that this camera is going on 6 years of use and has never failed me!!! what I love most is where the controls for the AE programing are, smart and fast. I just recently got a new battery, and did have to send it in to get fixed after I had dropped it. I will continue to use this camera as long as it lasts! For someone who is looking to buy a great used camera this is a GREAT pick. No joke! Sony has done a great job with this camera and Im looking to upgrade to a new sony and keep this on the side still.

I used the camera twice and found the viewfinder cracked. Sony refused through various channels to resolve the issue. They wanted more than I paid for the camera to repair it. Good luck if you have any troubles.
