faulty - big mistake.......2006-12-04
I attempted to use this with Zelda for the Game Cube and it did not work at all. Zelda would state that the game boy advanced was not connected and try all the various (undocumented) switches on the cable yielded 0 results. I thought this was going to be a bad purchase, but it was the only one at the store. Go with Nintendo OEM equipment or buy twice is the motto I should have followed.

i bought this at best buy because my friend had a game that you could link with. on the game package it said that you only needed one game cartridge. so i took it home and invited her over.we did everything correctly but only the gba sp with the game in it just started the game as normal and said there was an open connection. i ended up buying the same game and 2 player mode wasnt so great anyway. the directiond are lousy (only a few pictures) and the overall idea and look of it was good but it just wasnt practical. i would reccomend buying a nintendo brand link instead.

This cable claims to enable you to connect two GBAs or a GBA to a Gamecube. However, it has at least one data transmission bug that makes this product useless for certain applications, which is frustrating if you bought it specifically for the multi-function.
According to my tests, the GBA-GBA connection worked fine with Chu-Chu Rocket, both in the initial program transmission and during the actual real-time gameplay. (Make sure that when you connect two GBAs, you follow the connection instructions exactly!) The GBA-GC connection also worked with Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles and Zelda: Four Swords.
Unfortunately, the GBA-GC connection had some problems with Animal Crossing. The system is able to transmit information FROM the GC TO the GBA, but not the other way around. Thus, you can download Animal Island and the pattern program, but you cannot send your results back to the GC. You can still use the cable to go to the island, but since you lose everything you do on the GBA, it's not satisfying.
I have seen enough reviews by people who have had the exact same problem with Animal Crossing that I know that this is not a chance product defect. This is Mad Catz's manufacturing of a clearly faulty, badly designed product.
I contacted Mad Catz's customer service about this issue, and they did not respond. Although Mad Catz's other products may not have problems, I do not plan to buy anything from them again, as I do not want to support their business practices. I would encourage you to spend your money elsewhere, both to get yourself a quality product and to keep from supporting Mad Catz.
I've given the product two stars because the connections worked for some games/applications, but there is no guarantee that it will work for others.

Good first camera.......2007-11-21
We bought this camera about 25 months ago and have been mostly happy with it. Money is tight, so the expensive camera's were not an option, and our old digital camera broke. It is fairly easy to use and does movies too. The quality is less than my mom's more expensive camera - but it works fine for us. It is small enough to easily tuck into my purse next to my cell phone. Our only complaint is that the off on button doesn't work very well anymore. We have a paperclip attatched to the string to aid in turning it on and off. It does a reasonalble job with batteries - the cheaper AA's will last about 30 minutes - the ultra ones for electronics will last 6-10 hours depending on what you do with it. I've bought rechargable AA's and used them also - I get about 2 hours with them - overall, we like this camera.

This camera takes good pictures in bright light, otherwise don't waste your time. The pictures are pretty hit or miss. I commend Samsung for offering a camera at this price point and it's durable. This is a good camera to have handy b/c it's $100 and is better than getting the disposable variety. It's a point and shoot, let's not forget.

I finally had enough extra money to upgrade to a better digital camera, and I got rid of this peice of junk as quickly as I could. I managed to sell it to some poor unsuspecting soul on the internet, my boyfriend wanted it if it was going to be cheap but I didn't have it in me to rip him off like that.
This is a terrible camera. I bought it in January 2006 because it was cheap and I had a Samsung phone so I trusted the brand, but it quickly went into a downward spiral.
It has no redeeming qualities: the battery life is horrible. The picture quality is horrible- every shot is blurry unless you are outside under optimal lighting conditions and you are in possession of a four leaf clover. The internal memory is horrible. The only reason I hung onto it for as long as I did is because I am a poor college student and tuition usually takes priority over everything else.
The final straw was when I took it to Japan over the summer and ended up missing out on lots of great shots because of all the shortcomings this camera is saddled with. Not even halfway through the trip I rented a Nikon L12, and the rest of my trip was very well documented. That is the camera I ended up replacing this one with, as I was very satisfied with its performance.
Do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Spend the extra $20-30 on a decent camera that will go the distance. This one will do nothing but disappoint time and time again.
Very good camera that is very small........2007-07-27
I've actually bought this camera over two years ago & it still works very fine. Now a days most compact digital cameras I see are 6MP and above, but this little 4MP camera still takes great photos. The video works great too, but when you play it back you cannot hear the audio until you transfer the movie file to a PC or TV. My wife mainly uses this Samsung camera now while I use my Canon XTi 10MP SLR camera, but the Samsung is perfect for my wife because it so small and it conveniently fits in her purse. Great camera for beginners & novice users.

I have had this camera for three years now and I absolutely love it. It is so easy to use and takes great, clear pics. I am buying two more for my kids becasue for the price and the quality of the pics, it can't be beat. I would give this product 10 stars if possible.
