I bought this product because often times, I have my camera around my neck and 1-2 kids in my arms. I can't tell you how many time I ding my camera into a table or a wall... Even though this does not damage my camera, it leave scratches... This product is perfect for me. the only complaint that I have is the back LCD cover doesn't fit as well as I think it should. Other wise, I recommend it for everyone.

Actually very happy with this product. I don't use the lense armor that came with the package because it collects dust, hair, and dirt. But the camera armor is superb. Fits very well, and covers all important parts. Allows full use of camera, but it has a different feel. (You have to be more patient and deliberate about how you push your buttons.) A great buy, and excellent value. Glad to own it, and will buy more for each camera I own in the future.

It hugs the camera like a jacket to give it that one more level of protection. I can get the lens off and one without issue, the buttons are fairly easy to read and the screen prevents the LCD from getting scratched up. I'm hard on my camera and this is good to keep up.

I use this on my XTi and love it. However, let me be the second person to mention that the lense hood that comes with it is useless, even with the lense included with the XTi. I use larger Tamron lenses anyways, so I guess it's a moot point. I let my dog chew on it, and so far, he hasnt died so it must be non toxic.
Insurance for rock climbing photographers.......2007-08-13
While rock climbing I put a scratch on my lcd and a ding on my camera body before I realized some body protection was in order. The armor fits tight like a glove and has a plastic lcd protector built in. Its best that you memorize how you use the buttons on the camera before you use use the armor because it can be difficult to read the armor's embossed button names. Luckily I had been using the camera a lot for about 7 months before I ordered the armor so I had my camera features and buttons memorized.
The plastic lcd cover is shiny and can interfere somewhat with seeing the lcd image clearly when outside. I use the lcd for a general check of composition and rely on the histograms for exposure info so the degraded lcd image is not a big deal for me.
When I first received it I took it off for non-climbing photography but now just leave it on all the time. All the access ports are not covered by the armor and you can still use built-in or external flash with the armor on.
I don't use the lens hood. I haven't tried it but prefer my other lens hoods.
