You love your remote control, but wouldn't you like it even better if you could use it from any room in the house? This internal RF adapter will allow you to keep your existing remote control but send its signals from up to 100 feet away, and no direct line-of-sight is needed. Here's how it works: You install the transmitter in place of one of your remote's batteries. This transmitter converts the remote control's infrared signals to radio frequency signals that can travel through walls and doors. These signals go to the small, AC-powered receiver, which is placed facing the components you wish to control. The receiver then converts the signals back to IR signals and sends them to your components, all in a fraction of a second! You now have the freedom to go from room to room and control your audio/video components from up to 100 feet away. The internal RF adapter has a AAA-size transmitter and AA-size sleeve, so it can extend your existing remote control's operating range, regardless of which type of battery it requires. It will work with almost any remote control you'd like. Want to use it with more than one remote? Not a problem: add as many internal RF adapters as you'd like. For homes where maintaining the décor is a prime concern, the system can be hidden from view by using the included Bright Eye Emitter, an unobtrusive, adhesive-backed LED at the end of a 6-foot cable.

The product works as advertised as long as you plan to switch out the battery once per week. This would not be too much of a challenge except for the fact that the built in charger does not function. The net result was a frustrated wife and kids.
I have since purchased the Harmony 890 and no longer use the Smarthome product.

This is a terrific device. Somehow, you just put a battery that is included with this unit into your favorite IR remote for any device and put the receiver or wired emitter near your device and your remote is no longer just infrared (line-of-sight), but it works anywhere!
I use it in my house to operate my TiVo. I have the TiVo wired to be viewed in all of the TVs in the house, and I just can use the remote anywhere!
At church, I have it wired up so that a DVD player remote can work anywhere in the sanctuary.

These sleek little brackets attach with thumb screws, to the yoke arms of all Tele Vue mount heads, keeping your eyepieces safely and conveniently at your fingertips. The set holds three 1¼" and two 2" eyepieces. The 2" holes have removeable 1¼" inserts as well. The Eyepiece Caddy Set is highly recommended for all our mounts. The Panoramic and Gibraltar accesory trays are great, but they don't hold your eyepieces securely, like a Caddy, if your tripod gets bumped in the night! And once you experience the convenience of having a Caddy, bending to reach for an eyepiece will seem like a big inconvenience! The Tele-Pod does not offer a place to hold eyepieces. so the handy caddies will be a truly welcomed addition. The Caddy brackets are made of 3/8" thick aluminium and are powder coated for extra durability.
