Small scope ideal for airsoft smaller guns and pistols........2007-09-15
I bought this for a little more than $20 to put on my Tokyo Marui MP7. I did not want an expensive scope and I really liked the open-style design. You can sight moving opponeents more easily then squinting through a tube. In airsoft combat, this is important. You can sight through the scope and still see eveything around you. The scope is forgiving on less refined CQ combat technique, like mine!
The size is perfect for smaller SMG-style airsoft guns. Adjusting it was fairly simple. The feel and fit seems very high quality. They supply the hex wrench, extra battery and a nice lens cloth. Even the box was elegant. This is not German optics, however. It is made in P.R.C.
The dislikes are that the reticle is not bright enough for blazing sun light. I play airsoft at night so this is not an issue. The other minor problem is the weatherproof coatings on
<$50 scopes do not tolerate tropical heat and humidity well. The coatings eventually start to melt and make a mess. Just don't leave it in a hot car. This particular coating is holdiong up o.k., much better than my B.S.A. did.
The scope is designed to be recoil-proof. The knob is difficult to twist when new. This is probably a testiment to its durability, a good thing.
I can't really speak on its application for real guns. But for smaller airsoft guns, I love the scope. Its a nice example of form follow fucntion.
