Good thick pvc casing, sturdy, stiff twisted cables=Good CAT5e cable. Keep cable taunt as you start it or you will end up with a tangled mess to pull. Would've like black but not for $$ more.

CTA Digital MI-PF15 15-Inch Digital Picture Frame.......2007-09-07

This item does not function as advertised. The remote control does not function and it will not open folders. The same folder continues to rotate through the slide show. Other folders cannot be accessed. I have returned it and am waiting for a refund.

CTA Digital MI-PF15 15-Inch Digital Picture Frame.......2007-08-16

I went to the CTA web site and downloaded the Users Manual for the MI-PF15 such that I could fully understand the functionality of the unit before I made a purchase. Satisfied with the functionality, I purchased the MI-PF15. The Users Manual that came with the frame was identical to the one that I reviewed online. The CTA frame lacks many function that are described in the CTA MI-PF15 User Manual.

Such as:
1) There is no Video Out on the frame and no setup screens for video. The User Manual describes the selection of NTSC, PAL,S-Video, YPBPR, and RGB for VGA.
2) There is no Folder Repeat option as indicated in the User Manual
3) etc.

Otherwise the unit is OK.

Poor quality control.......2007-07-13

I tried to order this product twice and each time it came with dead pixels. I am very disappointed. I gave up on this product and am looking for something else. Picture quality would have been fine. Do note that the contrast ratio is 450:1 so the color isn't as vibrant as your monitor. However, I believe that it is customary in the digital frame market.

I have tried the Axion 7 inch frame was not very excited so

I bought my wife the cta 15 inch as a present and this is unbelievable the quality is beautiful the picture is as sharp as can be play mp-3 and video so far I believe based on price is a steal for a 15 inch digital frame with that kind of sharpness

This picture frame is quite large and boasts 1024 x 768 resolution. However in terms of picture quality the much smaller Phillips 8", which I had previously purchased, is far superior. Specifically, the contrast ratio, the color and the resolution of the CTA MI-PF15 are all very poor in comparison to the Phillips.

One of the features that this screen offers that the Phillips does not is the ability to play music and movies. However, when attempting to play a simple movie recorded with a Canon Powershot camera, this device failed.

In addition, CTA MI-PF15 that we purchased has a very obvious 'stuck pixel' right near the center of the display area.

In conclusion, for your money, you can find much better picture quality. The extra size of this frame does not make up for the poor picture quality.
