I bought this for the areas of my house the wireless has trouble. It works great and the blue looks more exciting than geek grey. The only problem with using it occassionally is there is 50 feet of cable you have to wrap up or store. It would be great if there was a wheel to wind it up on like the garden hose.

I used this card for a trip to Paris - I'm hesitant to use larger cards in the event the card goes bad - I don't want to lose all of my pictures. I took four of these little guys along with me and they really came through. I took over 400 pictures at highest resolution (spread over four cards) and didn't notice any degradation of speed. Came home with every single photo intact; my 35mm travel buddy pronounced my photos "spectacular!"

I didn't read the reviews on this product before I got it so I hope it doesn't corrupt my files.I bought this for my Lyra 64 Mp3 player and so far so good.Before I got the card I could only put 20 songs on it.Now I have 50 and I still have a lot more room to add more so I'm thinking 60 or 70 songs will go on this.If you are getting this make sure you put the little white switch on the side in the down position or your mp3 player won't reconize it.These work on most of the RCA Lyra MP3 players out there.You can also use them for camaras and other devices.Right now I will give this 5 stars for how much songs you can get on portable mp3 players but if I start having skipping problems or corrupt files I will change this.

Lost all my Christmas photos!.......2004-12-28

I used this memory card for my digital camera, and lost ALL the photos of my little baby's first Christmas!

I'd used it for a couple of months with no problem, downloading pics to my computer time and time again. Then Christmas morning I go to turn on the camera, and WHAM! All pics lost! The card is now useless in all devices.

I'm trying another brand. Please do not make the same mistake I did.

How many pictures will it store? It is the most commonly asked question from digital camera enthusiast but usually the question that is the most difficult to get a straight answer about. Well, considering I worked in the memory industry for over 7 years I can help clarify this perplexing question and do so unbiased as I have since changed industries.

The SanDisk 256MB Secure Digital Memory Card, like most 256MB cards, will store on average 284 pictures when used with a 2 megapixel camera, 213 images when used with a 3 megapixel camera, 128 pictures when used with a 4 megapixel camera, 102 images when used with a 5 megapixel camera, and 80 pictures when used with a 6 megapixel camera. These numbers are based off the assumption that you are going to shoot your images at the highest quality JPEG setting available for the camera and understand that they are estimates and may be off by as much as 10 percent due to numerous factors including the complexity of the scene being shot and the compression algorithm used by your specific camera.

I truly hope this review was helpful to you in determining whether this card is the right capacity for your specific needs.

It's small. It's reasonably priced. It does what it's supposed to do: It remembers.
Cards such as this one go into devices that have slow processors. Have realistic expectations.
