The Wii Component Video Cable allows you to hook your Wii console system to a high-definition TV (HDTV) or enhanced-definition TV (EDTV) to view 480p progressive output. 480p progressive output displays at a higher resolution than standard 480i resolution.
Please note that your TV must be a high-definition TV (HDTV) or enhanced-definition TV (EDTV) to view 480p output. You will also be required to change your Wii settings from Standard TV (480i) to EDTV/HDTV to view 480p. details on changing your Wii console system settings or check page 44 in your Wii console system 'Channels & Settings' manual.
You cannot see Wii progressive display output when the Wii console system is hooked to a TV using any other kind of cable. NOTE: This component video cable is for the Wii and will not work with any other system. In addition, the Nintendo GameCube Component Video Cable will not work with the Wii.

This HD cable really makes the Wii look a lot nicer. If you use it for going on the Internet you NEED this cable. Much better picture in games too!

I'm sure everyone know the difference between Analog and Digital signals.
Analog signals you can picture as waves, while digital are 1's and 0's. (On and off).
Component Cables are a medium for Analog signals, and Analog signals require really good shielding. Otherwise, you will get major interference from any other cables or machines that will induce interference onto the cable.
This cable did really poor for me, because every once and a while I would get some snow-like interference every once in a while. I could really tell when playing Resident Evil 4.
I would definitely recommend getting Nintendo brand component cables. I'm sure they have a really good quality shielding on their cables.
I wish Nintendo moved to high definition Digital cables like hdmi. Because Digital cables do not require much shielding like Analog does.
The only reason this product 2 stars is because it was incredibly cheap.

Not Great.......2007-08-28
I received this item as a gift. (Photography is a very expensive hobby of mine.) Up until I received this autofocus camera, I did all my work with a Nikon FM-10.
My issue with this camera may just be a glitch with my particular camera and not with ALL of the Maxxum 50s. My camera appears to have a short in it somewhere. Sometimes when I go to use it, the shutter release button will not work, although the display is lit and indicates it's ready to go. Also, once in awhile the battery indicator will say my batteries are low, then after a few moments it will say they're okay. This issue is NOT the result of old or mixed batteries. It will do that with high-quality, brand new batteries and it will operate for months afterwards on the very same batteries it claims are about to die.
Finally, this camera is not very user-friendly. It is difficult to remember which symbols represent which functions. I have to keep the owner's manual with me at all times to be able to use all the features.
Unfortunately, I cannot locate any warranty papers, so I'm stuck with this faulty camera. I don't know if I would trust it with my memories, given the choice. I am disappointed as Konica Minolta usually makes quality equipment.
