A bit disappointing.......2007-12-24
The Plantronics .Audio 910 Bluetooth Headset with USB adapter was great in the initial few days for VOIP application, sound quality is good, background noise is low; but then I encountered difficulties with keeping the battery fully charged and having to re-sync the blue tooth to the USB adapter regularly. Finally, after a couple of weeks, it failed to connect any VOIP call and it started crashing my Skype application. So now I am back to my old Logitech device... and unhappy with my purchase.
Best BlueTooth Headset for Skype and Mobile Phones.......2007-12-09
This is a great headset for Skype as well as your cell phone. I fits comfortably over your ear and stays there securely during all but the most athletic movements. Unlike many other headsets, this places the speaker on your ear canal and not in it. (This may be why some others feel that it doesn't fit well for them.) I find that it blocks a lot of wind noise from being transmitted. Maybe not as much as the Aliph Jawbone, but pretty darn good. It is bigger than some other headsets, but if you fold it halfway between left and right it gets fairly slim and seems durable. (I've broken some others by putting them in my pocket.) Interesting enough, when you set the BlueTooth dongle in Skype, the primary sound output for your PC is the 910. Not so good for music or movies, but kind of nice for listening to things when you don't want others to hear.
My "bads" are that I don't like the charger connection. It is a small, short pin/sleeve. I have had some occasional troubles getting a good tight connection. Not often, but a mini-USB charging port would be welcomed. That would be more "universal" as well. I've had some problems switching from PC connection to cell phone. Not enough to give it a black mark, but enough to note to you.
If you don't do Skype, VOIP, etc. then I'd suggest that you buy the Plantronics 510 instead. It is the same headset without the BlueTooth dongle but it has an AC charger instead of the one that plugs into a USB port.
No Vista Driver Support.......2007-12-05
I am unable to get the USB Bluetooth adapter to work w/ Vista. I just got off of chat w/ Plantronics support. Plantronics says that they neither support nor provide any drivers. If you need this to work w/ Vista, I suggest looking for another product. It does work great w/ my cell phone, but paying extra for PC integration was a waste.
Best of the Bluetooth headsets, but bleh........2007-11-21
I bought this headset as a final attempt to find a decent Bluetooth headset for Skype. This one is definitely the best I've used so far, but the sound quality is cell phone at best. If you use Skype with others that have USB headsets, they will know you are a poor quality headset. If you don't need something that sounds better than cell phone quality, this is your best option.

I use this headset mainly for making international phone calls via Skype. I've had it for several months now and I'm very satisfied with the ease of configuration, set up, and the quality of the product and calls. Recommended.

Great product.......2007-10-05
This is a good product, been using it with VOIP software on my laptop and my BlackBerry/mobile. Battery life is as advertised and sound quality is excellent. A nice feature is that you can disable the stupid flashing light so prevalent on most Bluetooth headsets. I am not sure if this makes it any less dorky, but it means using it in a car at night is a lot less distracting. My only criticism is that there is no way (I have found) to determine the current battery charge status. This combined with the fact that there is very little time between the warning beep for battery level, and the thing dying can be frustrating, particularly since you cannot use it while it is charging. That said, the battery life is longer than you get with most headsets, so it isn't really an issue as long as you charge it overnight. A highly recommended purchase.
Doesn't Deliver.......2007-10-03
I purchased this unit because it was advertised as providing a seemless transition between PC and mobile. Sadly, the microphone sound quality is entirely hopeless for Dragon NaturallySpeaking, so I'm left with a bluetooth headset for my mobile phone only. Battery standby life seems to be much shorter than advertised also, despite being fully charged at the outset. This is not a replacement for the Plantronics C60, which performs adequately with Dragon.
