DVD/CD STORAGE SHELF.......2006-02-24
Looks are oftentimes deceiving, and in the case of this particular media shelf, that is all too true. What you don't see is that this unit is not really made of real wood. You can't really know that you're probably going to split the "wood" when putting it together because it looks fairly sturdy from the ad. No wonder it comes with a blemish cover-up marker...
All of that aside, it's not a bad-looking piece. And it's a pretty good price for what you get. You may want to find something a little sturdier if you plan to store only DVDs on it because it is prone to tipping over easily. But it's slim and doesn't take up much space, which is good.

Great Memory Card!.......2007-12-26
I purchased several of these memory cards for my new Canon Powershot S5 IS digital camera, after reading many positive reviews. I have been using it for about a month now, and it performs as expected. I use the SanDisk card reader to download the pictures to my PC. No difference when using low resolution.......2007-12-25
I thought the difference between this hi-speed card (20 mb/s) and a low-speed card (1-2 mb/s) would be easely noticeable but not really when using low resolution (2 mpx) and barely noticeable when using hi resolution (12 mpx), it may be more when using RAW but now I really think this card is not worth the money for the use I give to it.

Well this card is fast as advertised...
It addressed the lag/delay issue I was having with taking photos in a Canon IS5, so well in fact that I purchased a second card to alleviate a map loading issue that I kept getting when using a slower SD card in my Garmin iQue 3600 GPS.
Worth the money, in spite of it being about twice as expensive as bargain cards - but you do however get what you pay for. Unless using an SD card for audio/MP3, save yourself the headaches & pony up just a little more money as your Camera/PDA or GPS device will reward you back accordingly!!!!
I gave it 4 out of 5 stars, only due to the higher price.
A big difference for me!.......2007-12-23
I bought this accidently while on vacation, thinking it was another ultra card. For me, there was a big difference between this and an ultra. My camera is a Canon S2IS. There is a very noticeable difference using this card, and I can get a lot more pictures off in less amount of time than with an ultra card. Is it worth the price difference? For me, it is. I hate to miss a nice picture of my kids doing something because the camera is not "ready," so, for the extra bit of money, I am very happy. Also, I would like to note that downloading the pictures and vvideo to my laptop, was also much faster, another pleasant surprise after taking several hundred pictures. The card reader in my laptop (which is almost 3 years old) reads the card with no problem. Lastly,the idea of safely getting back deleted pictures is nothing new, and software can easily be found (for free), with little effort, to get back whatever you accidently deleted (just don't write over the card, as you may not be able to get it back then). I know some people said they did not notice a big difference with their setup, but the few reviews I read did not say what their setup was, and I have to wonder how full the card was. I think that as the card gets more full, you will see a bigger difference. I will only buy these cards (unless faster ones come out that will work on my camera) from now on......oh yes, and a quick search will find the 2gig card for around $35 with free shipping elsewhere.
