Excellent speaker cables.......2007-02-16
I am a person who mainly listens to the overall music rather than spending time to pickout each and every instrument while listeing to a music album. However I should admit that after listeing to my music system using the monster cable, overall the listening has become more enjoyable. In fact while listening to the song "HotelCalifornia" I almost felt that some unwanted sounds also have started coming through my speakers, as over year of listening, I was tuned to certain sounds and when the new cable started reproducing sounds which was previously not heard, it was a total surprise. There was a noticable improvement over my previous cable in terms of bass (earlier was Monster THX hometheater cable, biwired by me using monster banana plugs) and the postioning of vocals and lead instruments was more clear which I earlier thought was more of the imagination of the reviewer.
I am very happy about this buy and would recomment the same to anybody who have a good mid-end amp/speakers.

Serves its purpose/Reasonably priced.......2007-12-28
Yes this product is made of a flexible plastic but it is not unattractive and when you get 5 pieces per package for $10, who can complain? I've searched for organizational boxes high and low that won't break the bank and they just don't exist. The pretty ones are very expensive. I made the sacrifice for the better price. The fronts of these boxes have nice label holders and when they are all lined up on the shelf, they actually look kind of nice. My main complaint is that the assembly was a little bit tedious and time consuming. It took me an hour to assemble 20 pieces and my hands were a bit sore at the end. Still, after all the sticker shock at the fancier baskets and containers, I was happy to find a semi-attractive product for a reasonable price. The assembly was well worth all the money I saved!
Ok, but not to sturdy.......2007-10-09
I bought these to sit on a shelf and hold magazines in my kitchen. As long as you're just using them to keep things tidy, this product is perfectly acceptable and pretty stylish if I do say so myself. However, if you're looking for a sturdy caddy to move magazines or periodicals around frequently, I'd look elsewhere. The plastic is flimsy and would probably split at the seams if it get's bumped around too much.

Windows XP SP2 user READ THIS.......2007-12-02
If you use Windows XP SP2 and want to take full advantage of this amazing Sandisk product, you need to read the Microsoft Knowledge Base article 885222. It explains how Firewire was crippled by SP2 and provides a patch to correct the problem. I hope this helps you!
FAST.......2007-11-21
This combo is FAST. From my Macbook Pro w/ 7200rpm 160GB drive, I got the following speeds:
read: 37.0MB/sec FW400, 38.0MB/sec FW800
write: 33.1MB/sec FW400, 34.0MB/sec FW800
So as you can see, almost no improvement between FW800 and FW400, but does it matter? That's the fastest read/write I've seen from a CF card and reader.
Does not work on laptops with XP.......2007-08-05
I have a 1394 4 pin port on my laptop and this does not work. I even bought a 1394b express card reader (for another $89.99) and this still does not work. Please try on your laptop before you buy. VERY DISAPPOINTING FROM SANDISK. They have clearly marked Windows support - looks like it works only with the Mac.
